A meaningful evening of community, connection, and new beginnings. 🇮🇳🤝🇺🇸

On behalf of the Nair Service Society of California (NSS), it was a privilege to be part of the community gathering organized by the Association of Indo Americans (AIA) to welcome Shri Satish Sivan, Consul General of India in San Francisco.

The evening was also an opportunity to express our appreciation to Deputy Consul General Shri Rakesh Ji as he moves on to his next assignment. His commitment and engagement with the Bay Area Indian community over the past three years have been deeply appreciated.

We were especially encouraged by Shri Satish Sivan’s openness to engaging with the younger generation and listening to their ideas, aspirations, and perspectives. Building stronger connections across generations is an important part of keeping our community vibrant and connected.

NSS looks forward to continued engagement and collaboration with the Consulate and the wider Indian-American community in the Bay Area.

Warm welcome to Shri Satish Sivan, and our sincere thanks and best wishes to Shri Rakesh Ji. 🇮🇳

NSS CA Onam 2026 – A Celebration to Remember! 🌼

What a beautiful day of togetherness, tradition, and celebration! ❤️

Nearly 1,250 people came together to celebrate Onam with NSS California, making this one of our most memorable Onam celebrations yet. The day began with a grand and authentic Onam Sadya, bringing everyone together around the flavors and traditions of Kerala.

We were truly honored to have Mr. Abhishek Sharma, Consul, Economic Affairs, Visa & OCI, Consulate General of India, San Francisco, join us as our Guest of Honor. His presence added a special significance to our celebration, and we sincerely thank him for being part of this memorable occasion.

The program began on a spectacular note with a beautiful Mega Pancharimelam by the Kalakshethra team, setting the perfect festive mood. This was followed by the formal inauguration by the NSS Board and the presidential address by NSS CA President Sujith Viswanath

We were then treated to a beautiful Thiruvathira by Pranavam Thiruvathira, followed by a wonderful lineup of cultural programs featuring talented artists and performers from our own community. Each performance brought its own energy and charm and made the celebration even more special.

The day was further filled with a vibrant Onam procession, music, dance, and the joyful spirit of our community coming together to celebrate our heritage.

A huge and heartfelt THANK YOU to all our volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes and throughout the day. Your time, energy, teamwork, and dedication made this celebration possible. 🙏

Our sincere thanks also go to all our performers, participants, sponsors, community partners, families, and every single person who joined us and brought such wonderful energy to the event.

Seeing nearly 1,200 people come together to enjoy the Sadya, celebrate our traditions, take part in the procession, and cheer for our performers was truly a special experience.

This is what community is all about, coming together, celebrating our traditions, supporting one another, and creating memories that stay with us. ❤️

Thank you all for making NSS Onam 2026 such a memorable and joyful celebration! 🌼🙏
