If you’ve noticed how beautiful and vibrant the flowers on Main Street have looked this spring and summer, it’s all thanks to a few incredible volunteers who quietly show up every single day.

Without expecting any praise or recognition, they voluntarily spend their mornings, afternoons, and/or evenings watering and deadheading the flowers, keeping Main Street beautiful for all of us to enjoy. 🌸💦

THANK YOU to the Mountain View crew — it’s beautiful! THANK YOU Harris Lumber and Bishop Concrete for great deals on supplies. THANK YOU to the very generous donations from Milo residents and our friends at Tradewinds! And THANK YOU to Milo House of Pizza and Elaine’s Bakery for being such good neighbors and sharing your facilities and food with the work crew. 💕 WHAT’S NEXT?? Volunteers will stain; JSI is preparing a quote for map and brochure holders; a sign will be made/installed; and we will gather materials for posting/sharing. The Friends of Milo is still accepting donations for this and other projects. Please reach out to a member (you’ll find us at Elaine’s between 7:00 and 8:00 am on Tuesday mornings) or make a deposit directly to the Friends of Milo account at Maine Savings FCU.
