We "gathered at the river" today to witness the baptism of David and Annette Brackett. What a beautiful and peaceful setting. Also, those in attendance were able to step up to the river's edge and reaffirm their baptism.

Sharing a post of Priscilla Ott's

Tonight we did the Monday Night Community Meal in honor of our Mom Carolyn Ott. I wanted to thank everyone who helped to make it happen. I know Mom would have loved it so much. Thank you to Doug Lance who coordinated the dinner. Terry Loria Longerbeam Headlee for helping us to find a way to honor mom in a way that truly fit her giving heart. Also for making coleslaw along with Judy Wilt Ott and help plating. Thank you to Linda Crowder who made some delicious looking chocolate chip cookies, Carla Crouse and Patricia Myers Burch for making Mac and Cheese. Crystal Ott Chamblin for the Apple sauce, pudding, and waters. Cindi Donovan Knaut Wiggins and Lisa Williamson for your donation towards the dinner. Emily Tansill for donating her time to help us put together the plates. Justin Barrett for helping with smoking the pork, Gabriella Williams for making the picture in honor of Mom and my girls for helping make the plates and giving them out. Losing our Mom has been hard but it brings so much joy to our hearts to know she was loved and seen for who she was. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. ❤️ ✝️

Today our Sunday was special. Pastor Nathan's sermon was titled - We Were Not Meant To Walk Alone. We had singing by Abbie, scripture reading by Linda, and we enjoyed a meal together after church. The food was homemade, plentiful and delicious. We invite you to come worship with us - Sunday worship service starts at 10:30 AM.

This Father’s Day, we presented to all the men in the congregation, multitool pens, bottle openers, and homemade jam. Our fathers and mentors have served and continue to serve many roles and meet many needs in our lives. We thank you. Pictured in the photos are David Brackett with Pastor Nathan and the second photo is of Pete Hooe, our oldest father in attendance today.

At Shenandoah Memorial United Methodist Church today, we continued to celebrate Ava Williamson as recipient of the Robyn Lance Memorial Nursing Scholarship. Today, Ava was presented a $1,000 check by Terry and Loria Headlee and was given a stethoscope with her name engraved, by Nicholas Lance. Two weeks ago Ava was given the $1,500 Robyn Lance Memorial Nursing Scholarship for 2026. We wish Ava all the best in her upcoming nursing studies at Shepherd University this fall.

Today during our service, we remembered our good friend and former Millville resident, Carolyn Morris Ott. Her girls, Maureen, Belinda, and Priscilla, as well as some of their children were in attendance.
Carol served the church in many rolls during the time of her attendance - she sang in the choir, taught the preschool class in Sunday School, helped organize Vacation Bible School, wrote our Christmas plays and Easter cantata, served as president of the Sunday School department, wrote our church newsletter, and so many more things.
As a church, we are very grateful to her and her family for their commitment to our church, Shenandoah Memorial United Methodist Church, and to the Millville community.
