The South Jersey Chapter of Pheasants forever has been created with you the pheasant hunter in mind. It is our hope to continue the conservation of wild life here in south jersey and bring the ideals of Pheasant Forever to our area. With your help we can continue the long tradition of Pheasant hunting in the Garden State by involving our youth in the safe and ethical practice of hunting and wildlife conservation.

Apply today for one of more than 800 seasonal positions across New Jersey State Parks, Forests & Historic Sites for the peak summer season.

Salaries for most positions start at $16.50 an hour. Lifeguard salaries start at $19 an hour at lakefront beaches and $20 an hour at Island Beach State Park in Ocean County. Positions at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, Hudson County, and along the greenway in Essex and Hudson counties start at $20 an hour.

Positions are available statewide, from High Point State Park in the northwest to Cape May Point State Park in the southeast, and include lifeguards, junior lifeguards, general maintenance staff, visitor service assistants, office assistants, naturalists and history educators. Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.

Peak season generally runs from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Officers play a vital role in protecting New Jersey’s natural resources and enforcing, wildlife laws. Conservation Police Officers earn a salary of $74,153 for their first year and receive health and dental benefits after 60 days of employment. Employees also receive paid vacation, holidays, personal, and sick days. With annual step increases, the top salary for a CPO 1 is $120,744.
