Congratulations, Mackenzie!

Mackenzie completed the 2026 Millvale Community Needs Assessment Survey and was randomly selected as this month’s prize drawing winner!
Each month, we select one survey respondent at random to receive a $50 gift card to the local Millvale business of their choice as a thank you for sharing their thoughts and helping us better understand what our community needs.

Haven’t filled out the survey yet? There’s still time! Join us today at 5:30-7:30 PM at the Millvale Community Library for an Ice Cream Social. Anyone who completes the survey will get free ice cream!

Not ice cream motivated? Complete the survey digitally here: https://qualtricsxmz65pccqf2.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_b46McX8Sq2JJcfs

We are so fortunate to have such a caring, professional police department. Sending out deepest appreciation to all of the officers involved in helping save this young man’s life.

The 40th Street Bridge reopened after being closed for about three hours Tuesday while police talked down a man threatening to jump from the Allegheny River span. Millvale police Chief Tim Komoroski said the 26-year-old man was suffering from a mental health issue. He had parked his car on the

We are so fortunate to have Les Murphy and his new business - Murph's Kitchen - now open at Strange Roots Experimental Ales! Welcome to Millvale, Les!

Les Murphy is something of a low-key local hero in Pittsburgh bar food circles.

He’s run kitchens in the city for more than 17 years, with the past 12 as executive chef of Bigham Tavern on Mount Washington. There, Murphy built a menu renowned for, among other things, crispy and delicious chicken wings.

In June, the 53-year-old chef launched Murph's Kitchen inside Strange Roots Experimental Ales' Millvale location, becoming the latest in a string of hospitality veterans striking out on their own this year.

Millvale's Night (Fright) Market, October 24, 2026, 4pm - 9pm Rain or Shine

We are excited to announce that we are hosting our first Night Market! A unique night of artists, salsa dancing, food, drinks and live music on an open street block in the walkable town of Millvale. After the successful Millvale Spring market days, we wanted to add a Night Market with a few additions.

The artists, makers and bakers will be set up on the street with food and drink booths from local businesses. Adding onto the market space will be free open street salsa dancing and lessons by Salsa Pittsburgh followed by several local live street bands (to be announced soon!). Lastly, because it's October and a week before Halloween, there will be friendly zombies roaming the streets with awesome gift cards and other treats. A truly unique party in Millvale!

Date: Saturday, October 24, 2026 (rain or shine)
Time: 4 p.m. - 9 p.m.
Place: Grant Avenue (block between Sherman St and Sheridan St - in front of the Millvale Community Library, B-Sides, Steel City Salt Company, Hometown Tattoo Pgh, and other businesses)
Vendors: $25 fee, except for Millvale-based businesses; space is limited to 75 vendors. Must bring your own tent, tables, chairs, everything you need for your booth to be successful - which could include lights since this goes into the night. Looking for a great summer treat right here in Millvale? Check out Winston's Grilled Eats & Frozen Treats. Located at 624 North Avenue, in the old Crazy Cone's. Enjoy, and as always...support local.

Pittsburgh Sandwich Society, the food truck by husband-and-wife team Erin Andrzejewski and Michael Carney, has always been a family business. But their latest venture, Winston’s Grilled Eats & Frozen Treats, feels like a generational affair. At the new retro spot in Millvale, customers order f...
