Keystone Family Alliance

Keystone Family Alliance "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widow "A father to the fatherless...is God in His holy dwelling.

Keystone Family Alliance aims to educate, motivate, and equip every Christian in the state of Pennsylvania on the needs of orphans and vulnerable children, both locally and globally. We help bridge the gap between the desperate need in the child welfare system and Pennsylvania churches. Starting out of the Centre County Orphan Care Alliance in 2008, we noticed God had been stirring a passion to ca

re for the fatherless in the hearts of Christians in Centre County for some time. Out of those stirrings in October 2008, God brought together several local churches to form the Centre County Orphan Care Alliance. After starting in this one county the passion has spread to several other counties in Pennsylvania, allowing Keystone Family Alliance (formerly known as Pennsylvania Orphan Care Alliance) to grow in counties across the state. We believe in honoring God’s call, great love and great heart for the fatherless in our local communities. God sets the lonely in families." -Psalms 68: 5-6 (NIV)

✨ Team Spotlight: Meagan Wrhen
Clarion/Jefferson County Coordinator

“God calls us to care for orphans and also to love our neighbors. KeyFam, by design and through the solid foundation we have built, has become an organization that loves others so well. That is kingdom work.”

Meagan shares that one of the greatest blessings is being able to help families in meaningful ways. She loves watching agencies connect families with needed resources and seeing the love of Jesus demonstrated through the support and care provided to both families and agency partners.

Through compassion, partnership, and community, Meagan continues to faithfully serve vulnerable children and families throughout Clarion and Jefferson counties. 💙

✨ Team Spotlight: Morgan Wunsch
Indiana County Coordinator

“KeyFam work is Kingdom work.”

Morgan shares that at the heart of Keystone Family Alliance is the desire for every child and every parent to know they are deeply known and loved by God — that they have a Heavenly Father who loves, protects, and fights for them. Through the work of KeyFam, Morgan hopes to see lives transformed through a relationship with Jesus Christ while helping meet the physical, relational, emotional, and spiritual needs of children and families.

Morgan loves inviting and supporting the Church in stepping into its God-ordained role of serving struggling families and caring for vulnerable children. One of the greatest joys is witnessing transformation in the lives of children and families while also helping caseworkers feel seen, valued, and supported.

We are so grateful for Morgan’s compassionate heart, faithful leadership, and dedication to bringing hope and support to Indiana County. 💙

“I love the work I do for KeyFam because I get to share hope, resources, and training for others who are going through what we have experienced during our foster care and adoption stories.”

Through connections with CYS staff, caseworkers, pastors, and community partners, she loves seeing people come together with one shared purpose — helping vulnerable children and families thrive.

We are grateful for Karen’s compassionate heart, lived experience, and dedication to bringing hope and support to families throughout Venango County. 💙

✨ Team Spotlight: Trista Herrlin
Lehigh/Northampton County Coordinator

“I have a passion for the church to get involved with the needs in the child welfare system and love how KeyFam uses community and relationship to meet needs.”

Trista shares that when we surround vulnerable children with love, support, and compassion through the messiness of difficult situations, we are living out James 1:27 in a tangible way. She believes caring for children and families in crisis is both a divine responsibility and a practical example of God’s love and compassion for us.

We are grateful for Trista’s heart for the Church, her passion for vulnerable children, and the way she faithfully serves families throughout Lehigh and Northampton counties. 💙

At Keystone Family Alliance, we often say, “Everyone can do something. What’s your something?” ❤️

This June, a team from Keystone Family Alliance will travel to Zambia to serve vulnerable children and families alongside local schools, churches, and organizations. During the trip, we’ll be providing trauma-informed training for educators, caregivers, pastors, and mental health professionals.

You can be part of this mission in a simple but meaningful way! We are collecting items needed for the trainings and for the participants through our Amazon Wishlist.

If each person purchases just one item, together we can make a huge impact and bless these communities beyond what we could imagine.

Thank you for partnering with us and helping bring hope, encouragement, and practical support to those who need it most. 💙
