📢 Benfield Road Corridor Study: Community Update & Feedback Opportunity
Several homeowners have raised questions regarding traffic flow and safety at the intersection of Benfield Boulevard and Governor Stone Parkway / Scarlet Oak Drive, particularly related to vehicle speeds, turning configurations, and the westbound lane transition on Benfield.
This area is under Anne Arundel County jurisdiction. The County is currently conducting the Benfield Road Corridor Study (Project H539625).
The project team is reviewing community input on semifinal recommendations, which include:
• A shared-use path on the north side of Benfield Road
• A sidewalk on the south side of Benfield Road
Please note: The project is still in the feasibility study phase and is not currently funded for construction.
