We're gearing up for another great year at the Sweet Corn Festival, and we're looking for volunteers to help make our biggest fundraiser a success!

Our Cotton Candy Booth and Pull Tab Booth help raise funds that directly support our teachers, students, and schools throughout the year. We can't do it without the help of our amazing families and community members.

Right to Read Week 2026

From spinning cotton candy, selling pull-tabs, reviving Box Tops for Education, pumpkin patch and restaurant nights, we raised enough to spend over $12,000 this budget year, including $4,000 in scholarships to four very accomplished seniors. These funds supported teacher supply reimbursement, meals during conference nights, Teacher Appreciation Week, Homecoming, the Junior High Dance, Recess Balls, Jr. Olympics treats, Literacy Night, Right to Read Week, Novel Book Sets, a Talented and Gifted Grant (TAG), a Math Facts Party, and the Art & Music Night. We brought parents into the fold, getting sign-ups to stock Teacher Workrooms with coffee and treats.

We are also proud to have saved $5,000 for next year’s startup, in addition to a $5,000 rainy day fund. The Sweet Corn Festival booths are clean, painted, and organized for the new crew.

Jessica Spires (President), Lindsay Tedder (Vice President), and David Spires (Treasurer) now step aside for the 2026-2027 PTO Board, taking over June 1st, headed by Tina Mullins. Reach out to her to assist and volunteer where you can. Continue to help the teachers help the students!
