It’s hard to believe it will soon be 7 years since Clark Community Center, Inc. was established. From humble beginnings, we’ve worked hard to keep the lights on.
Nearly seven years ago at the end of the school year, Clark school closed its doors and sold at public auction in September 2019. Fortunately for our community, Clark graduate and area resident, Mr. Dale Lahm was in attendance at that auction. He purchased the property for $130,000 and chose to turn it over to the community and an inaugural board of directors was appointed. Mr. Lahm and the Lahm family estate graciously donated a portion of the costs and we will remain forever grateful for their contribution and support over the years. Through hosting events, renting the space and other generous donations, we are proud to say that we nearly have the property paid off! We are down to about $12,000 owed.
Sadly, Mr. Lahm passed away earlier this year, though his legacy is firmly rooted here at Clark Community Center. We will continue to work hard keeping this community center open while “honoring the past through service to future generations.”
Our annual Banquet Dinner & Benefit Auction is next Saturday April 25th. Support CCC and enjoy a fun evening with us. Thank you to our generous community for supporting Clark Community Center all these years!
