The Eta Xi Chapter would like to congratulate Soror Jessica Butler on her graduation💙🤍 We can’t wait to cheer you on in your next steps!
•
During her undergraduate studies at GCSU , Jesse was involved with a multitude of different things! She was a CATostrophic Majorette and participated in Health Movement her freshman year, and was also the Secretary of Black Student Alliance from then until 2021. Jesse was also a Community Advisor for 3 years. She was also involved in chorus all 8 semester’s and was a member of the Leadership Certificate Program along with serving as a member of the Leadership Cabinet. In the Winter of 2021, she became a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and shortly thereafter served as President all the way until she graduated! In this past Georgia State Leadership Conference she was inducted into the Beta Class of the Georgia Legacy Club as she followed her cousins footsteps to becoming a member. After Graduating with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration she will be starting a Tax Internship with Bennett Thrasher in Smyrna, GA.

During her time at GCSU Lydia served as a First-Year Guide (academic peer mentor) for 3 years. She also was involved in the Pre-Physician’s Assistant Association as a member for 2 years, one of which she was treasure of the association! She also held membership in Black Student Alliance for 3 years. In the Winter of 2021 she became her grandmother’s Legacy by joining Zets Phi Beta Sorority Inc. on GCSU campus. Since joining she’s served as the Vice President, Tamias, MIP Coordinator, and PR/Technology Chair. After graduation Lydia plans to coach volleyball and work as an EMT all in preparation to apply to and start Physician’s Assistant School!

As an undergraduate at GC, Erin was involved heavily with leadership programs as she was a student in the Leadership Academy, Leadership Facilitator, member of the Leadership Cabinet, and successfully completed my Leadership Certification. Erin also was a Community Advisor for about 2 years. In the Fall of 2021, I became a member of the FINEST sorority, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc and plan to stay active post grad as well! After her B.S. in sociology is complete, she will be attending Mercer University’s M.Ed. Higher Education Leadership program with a concentration in Student Affairs Leadership in the Fall! Shd will also be working as the Graduate Assistant of Campus Life Leadership Programs!

Christina will be graduating with her Bachelors of science in psychology and a minor in public health. She served on the Council of Student Ambassadors for four years and was an active Tour guide. Christina has worked as a research assistant for Georgia College Leadership Programs and on a multitude of campus committees.

Christina became a member of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority in the Spring. After graduation, she will be completing an internship with The JED Foundation, promoting mental health resources for college campuses!

Read about her experience and future here: My experience as a transfer student here at GCSU has been amazing. At the beginning, I was sort of lost in what I was interested in or passionate about. Along the way, I was engaged in a program called the High Achiever Program where I educated high schoolers about community health. It was a great experience which allowed me to develop confidence and public speaking skills. Not only that, I was engaged in another community service organization, called the “Black Voters Matter” movement in Milledgeville. After completing these two community services, my path led me into this beautiful family of mine, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. With them, I was able to be more active and involved in school. It was a great journey participating in several services with my sisters. If it wasn’t for them, I imagine I would have been more isolated. I am blessed to be part of this family and to graduate with a group of love, joy, achievements, support, and happiness.

Soror Jessica Butler was Inducted into the Beta Class of the State of Georgia Legacy Club!

We were awarded:
• The First ever to receive this award Recognition- The Evelyn Brown Award of Excellence for our initiative for March of Dimes as she is the Founder of Stork’s Nest!💙
•1st Place for ZHOPE for Undergraduate chapters 6+
• Highest % of Undergraduate Chapter Members in Attendance 1-10

So Proud of ALL the Hardwork & Dedication this chapter has done for the 2022-2023 Sorority Year🫶🏾💙🤍

I’d appreciate if you could share or support my Double Good fundraiser ending on March 21st at 5 PM. All profits will be split between one of our many National Initiatives, March of Dimes, and this Bluetiful chapter!💙

Hello Sorors!

On behalf of the current members of Eta Xi we would like to say thank you for the legacy of a chapter that you have left to us! We are very grateful. No matter when you came through you left the chapter better, making it something to be proud to be part of.

At this year’s homecoming we heard the alumni’s voice. We’ve learned that frequent communication with our alumni is something that you value and something that we are going to initiate more.

As we do so, we ask that we all maintain and uphold the principles our founders believed. May we be scholarly, of service to each other, respectful in sisterhood to one another, and always remain Finer especially when in the presence of others outside our wonderful sisterhood.

Attached you will find the first official Eta Xi Newsletter. We will send these quarterly as one form of communication with you. In it you will find things like chapter updates, recaps, and a calendar.
