Join us this Wednesday, June 14th, from 7-8:30pm, for our Citizen Lyceum at the Asa Waters Mansion in Millbury, MA.

We will be discussing the underrepresented in our current political system and how to give them a voice moving forward.

Ben Franklin's Mass. library spurred public education

The Franklin Library in Franklin, Massachusetts, is named after founding father Benjamin Franklin, who touted the benefits of public education and donated the book collection that established the library. Initially, a local preacher requested a bell for the church, but Franklin gave books, reasoning that sense was preferable to sound.

Celebrate the US Constitution using these creative and engaging resources available from the Center for Civic Education: "The Constitution EXPLAINED" is a collection of 35 videos covering the basics of the Constitution produced in partnership with iCivics. These engaging, 2- to 4-minute videos are designed to help learners of all ages develop an understanding of the Constitution and how it has evolved over time. Access free lesson plans for grades K-12! The Center offers a large collection of downloadable lessons that explain the fundamental principles of the Constitution. And don't forget to check out our Constitution Day Scavenger Hunt with 60-Second Civics, which helps learners familiarize themselves with the delegates to the Constitutional Convention by listening to profiles of each Framer of the Constitution.
