The NESE pipeline has secured approval from the New Jersey Tidelands Resource Council, a milestone that moves the project closer to delivering more clean, reliable natural gas to New York City and Long Island.

The project will help strengthen energy reliability during the coldest winter months while creating valuable work opportunities for IUOE Local 825 members.

ELEC thanks the United States Environmental Protection Agency for its leadership as the project moves forward.

New Jersey needs real solutions to our growing energy challenges, and that means taking a hard look at what’s actually holding us back.

Senator Latham Tiver's Senate Bill 3870 is a step in the right direction. It cuts through outdated barriers and allows us to responsibly move forward with nuclear energy, one of the most reliable, zero-emission power sources we have.

Nuclear power delivers around-the-clock energy, strengthens our grid, and helps bring down long-term costs for families.

Just as important, it creates good-paying union jobs and real economic opportunity here at home.

At a time when energy bills are hitting families hard, we need to be part of the solution. This is about affordability, reliability, and building a stronger energy future for South Jersey.
