September 2nd is back to school today!! Please watch out for kids who are walking 🚶, on bicycles 🚲 , scooters 🛴 & getting on & off school buses 🚌 and in cross walks!

School begins soon, and we ask drivers to be aware of school buses on the roads.

-Keep a safe distance from the bus
-Be aware of children entering and exiting the bus
-Make a full stop when a bus has flashing lights on

Passing a school bus with flashing red lights on is illegal in New Jersey and can result in serious penalties. Improper passing of a school bus in NJ is a 5-point offense and will be fined no less than $100

If you have business to conduct at Township of Millburn, town hall tomorrow, Aug 20th, please be aware they are having a delayed opening. You can go at 8:30 but not earlier. Follow their fb page for info about road closures in town for road repair work.

On or about Thursday, August 20, 2026 (weather permitting), please be advised that milling and paving operations will take place on Millburn Avenue from Undercliff Rd. to the end of the property line on 249 Millburn Avenue and extends into Essex Street.
Please be advised that access to and from residences will be limited once work begins. To assist with the project and avoid potential delays, we kindly ask that all vehicles be removed from the roadway no later than 7:00 A.M. on the day where "No Parking" signage will be posted.

The time is NOW!! We’re sharing this post from our local Millburn-Short Hills Historical Society, to inform the community about a very special house tour and grand opening of the second museum for our local Historical Society. Between now and 2 PM you can go in and learn about the amazing parcel family who settled here hundreds of years ago and fought in the war and raised their families all along White, Oak Ridge Rd. and many are buried in the cemetery across the street. The parcel house is on the corner of Parsonage Hill Road and White Oak Ridge Road right across from the park at the traffic light.
