A little community kindness can make a big difference. đź’™
Airport Road Intermediate School recently received a brand-new wheelchair thanks to the generosity of Hampden-Sydney Lodge No. 67 of Millbrook, Jerry Jones and Michael Darden.
“We are incredibly grateful to have community partners who see a need and are willing to step forward to make a difference,” Stephens said. “Your generosity is about so much more than purchasing a wheelchair. It is about safety, preparedness and taking care of our students, staff and school community when they may need it most.”
That kind of community support is what makes a difference inside local schools. It is not always the biggest gestures that have the greatest impact. Sometimes, it is simply seeing a need and saying, “How can we help?”
For Airport Road Intermediate, this gift means having one more important resource on hand to help keep students and staff safe. And for the community, it is another reminder of what can happen when local organizations and neighbors step up for the schools serving their families.
