What's happening at our thrift shop? In summary, we are busy these summer days, many new browsers/shoppers, plenty of new donations being placed on racks and shelves every Mon, Wed, Fri & Sat. Frequent pop-up sales add to the excitement. Now, to make you smile, a story from a recent day at Uncle Al's.
A group of Millbrook friends were planning a date night out get-together. One of the gals had an idea to add some extra fun to the occasion - each had to purchase her outfit from a thrift shop. But the fun began way before the night out. They headed to Uncle Al's with excitement building. Conversation and laughter filled the store as soon as they entered. The ladies scurried around choosing clothes and accessories. By now, Uncle Al's volunteers had joined the excitement and were helping the shoppers as they chose their dresses. Some also bought shoes, hats, purses and jewelry to complete their look. It was a fun day for all the ladies and for the volunteers who helped them put together their outfits.
