Yeaterday, our club successfully completed a meaningful veteran and environmental service project today: Wreaths of America – Environmental Wreath Cleanup at the National Cemetery in the Presidio of San Francisco. The cleanup was led by our club member, Commissioner, and Lion Hanley Chan, whose leadership guided a successful effort in removing more than 1,500 wreaths from the Presidio National Cemetery. We were grateful to be joined by members of the Bair Island Cyber Lions Club, who generously lent a helping hand. Together, we demonstrated true teamwork and a shared commitment to service. This project marks the beginning of an ongoing partnership with Wreaths of America and Lions Clubs International. Moving forward, this will become one of our annual service projects—participating in both the laying of wreaths and the environmental cleanup afterward—allowing us to support veterans while also caring for the environment. Our local Lions Club and also lions club international logo will be featured on Wreaths of America flyers as part of this nationwide effort. A heartfelt thank-you goes to Thomas, manager of Lucky Supermarket, for kindly providing sandwiches, pastries, chips, and coffee, which were greatly appreciated by all volunteers.

The Silicon Valley Lions Club is honored to announce that Lion Asia Kan is running for 2nd Vice District Governor of Lions District 4-C4.

This is a historic moment for our club — Lion Asia is the first member of the Silicon Valley Lions Club to run for this district leadership position. His dedication to service, collaborative leadership style, and commitment to strengthening clubs across the district truly embody the Lions motto: We Serve.

We respectfully ask all clubs in District 4-C4 to join us in supporting Lion Asia Kan for 2nd Vice District Governor. Your support helps elevate strong, service-driven leadership that benefits every club and every community we serve.

Let’s rally together behind one of our own and continue building a stronger future for Lions in District 4-C4!

Silicon Valley Lions Club will be hosting our 4thAnnual SVLC Picnic at New Vision United Methodist Church on 7/5. Past President Lion Vincent will be making his famous Baby Back Ribs.

There is limited space so register. $25 admission charge unless you bring a yummy dish.

No alcohol.

Thanks to your generosity, our event was a huge success—we raised over $5,000, which will be donated to the California Lions Foundation to support local Lions Clubs in aiding affected communities.
