Measles is a highly contagious virus that is now linked to an outbreak in Buckingham County. Symptoms often begin with fever, cough, runny nose, and red eyes before a rash develops. Vaccination remains the best protection for individuals and our community. If you think you or your child may have measles, call ahead before visiting a healthcare facility to help prevent further spread.

Call 911 immediately if you suspect yourself or a family member to have measles and you or they have difficulty breathing, severe dehydration, altered mental status, seizures, or unresponsiveness.

Several of our members had the opportunity to attend the Virginia Association of Volunteer Rescue Squads EMS Week Celebration in Oilville today!

EMS Week is a great reminder to recognize the dedication, compassion, and countless hours that EMS providers give to their communities every day. We are proud of our members for representing our squad and continuing to support the volunteer EMS community across Virginia.

Thank you to everyone who helps make EMS possible…….from volunteers and career providers to dispatchers, fire departments, healthcare workers, and the families who support us behind the scenes.

🚑🔥 BUILDING TOMORROW’S FIRST RESPONDERS TODAY! 🔥🚑

The Rescue 3 Jr. Explorer Program is growing — and we’re looking for motivated young leaders ready to learn, grow, and make a difference in their community!
