We aim to create a resilient and sustainable future where people thrive alongside nature and one another through collaboration and innovation. Growing up as an underprivileged neurodivergent in a world built for neurotypicals, I faced more than my share of challenges. Coming from a broken family dynamic, I learned early on what it meant to navigate life’s storms without a support system. These liv
ed experiences instilled in me a deep understanding of struggle, integrity, resilience, and the importance of community. In 2009, seeking a fresh start, my wife and I moved to Charleston, SC. We wanted to raise our daughter with values that weren’t just spoken but lived: integrity, respect, empathy, resilience, inclusion, and sustainability. We began volunteering as a family, engaging in community projects that allowed our daughter to see the power of service firsthand. In 2014, we moved to the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, immersing ourselves in nature and continuing our work in service and education. From building gardens to supporting underserved communities, every act of volunteerism deepened our connection to this region and its people. In 2016, after speaking to NC Forestry Department as the Party Rock Fire in Lake Lure, was becoming more unruly, I mobilized community-driven donation centers, ultimately creating over 40 hubs that became vital in supporting relief efforts. This grassroots coordination expanded to other disaster zones, including Pinnacle Mountain and the Gatlinburg Tn, Chimney Tops wildfires, and led me to become a firefighter and EMT. Hurricane Helene in 2024 was a pivotal moment. After enduring a harrowing 24-hour shift in life-threatening conditions, I returned home to find myself once again coordinating supplies and aid—this time leveraging connections made through prior disasters. However, I saw disturbing patterns, one being, once safe, volunteers or victim’s Mental health was not a priority. Another gap was funds were being funneled through nonprofits, yet many left before true recovery had been achieved. Through these experiences, it became clear, disaster relief needs a different approach. One where transparency, collaboration, and a “boots-on-the-ground” mentality are non-negotiable. This realization sparked the creation of Humanity Helping All, Inc., a nonprofit designed to fill the gaps, build scalable relief programs, and ensure communities aren’t left behind once the cameras stop rolling. Here, we don’t just sympathize, we understand. We rise up for one another, because we’ve been there.
