Mill Creek AMVETS Post 2018 is the state's only chartered post North of Tacoma.
We meet:
-Inquiry for Post application process started November of 2017
-Application for Charter started January 2018 with organizational meeting. Adoption of Constitution and by-laws. Selection of Officers.
-First Official Meeting and swearing in of officers 1st Monday of Feb 1968
-First State Convention May 18-19, 2018 and presentation of Charter
Post 2018 invites all Veterans from Northern King, Snohomish and surrounding Counties/Communities to join us. Honorably discharged veterans, Reserve, National Guard and active duty personnel are eligible to join.

What we do:
Advise Veterans and their families about available VA benefits and Assistance
Participate in events honoring veterans and patriotic celebrations
Work with Veterans and Citizens in Mill Creek and surrounding Communities
ROTC and JROTC assistance
Offer Student Veterans and their families Scholarship Opportunities
Support and work with Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts
Volunteer to speak at community and school events
Support of Firefighters and Law Enforcement
Work with other veteran community groups
Present a variety of AMVETS programs such as Americanism
Offer Counseling and assistance for veterans in Small Business thru the SCORE Program
Assist and help feed Homeless Veterans
Support state and national AMVETS Programs and events
