Central Theatre Arts Academy

Central Theatre Arts Academy Performing arts center for public school students on Oahu. We are a performing arts learning center located at Mililani High School.

CTAA provides a comprehensive education in theatre production including designing and constructing sets, costumes and props; running and designing sound. We also teach performance while mounting both musicals and straight plays. With the assistance of theatre professionals, 2 major productions and 1-2 student directed and produced shows are staged each year. CTAA is a state funded learning center program enabling us to reach out and include public school students from all over O’ahu.

Due to Mililani High’s recent cancellation of Open House, rescheduled auditions for Thursday 8/20, will now be taking place on Wednesday, 8/19, so that callbacks can go on as initially scheduled for Thursday, 8/20.

We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your grace and understanding as we navigate this unprecedented week! This change will allow our Production Team to finalize casting sooner, giving students more time to consider their roles.

NEW SCHEDULE:
Tuesday, 8/18: Auditions Day 1 @ MHS HQuad (UNCHANGED)
Wednesday, 8/19: Auditions Day 2 @ MHS Cafeteria (Original Monday slots)
Thursday, 8/20: Callbacks Location TBD @ 4:30PM

Congratulations to our very first class of Sumner Stars! We did so much in our time together. We laughed, we learned, we woke up really early, we did lip trills, we did arm circles, we sang about alligators, we danced to Justin Bieber, we “wooshed”, and we made friends along the way. THANK YOU to all who made our inaugural Summer Stars a reality and a success! 🎭

To our Stars, we had SO much fun with you over these past three weeks and are so proud of all of the hard work you put into your performances. We hope you audition for CTAA shows in the future and always keep theatre in your lives. Remember, we are all ensemble! ⭐️

After much anticipation, we are SO excited to share our 2026-2027. We will share two stories that represent our theme for next year… “The show must go on”! ✨

Join us in the Fall for our musical, NEWSIES 🗽 and then in the Spring, THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG 🎭. Two stories about resilience, perseverance, and the fun that ensues when you fight the good fight.
