These guys have battled all season to earn a #2 seed in the playoffs and split their regular season games with Open Court. Come join us at Palama Settlement at 3:45 PM.

What a difference a week makes! Both our 8U Co-Ed team and our 10U girls team started their seaons off ROUGH last week with blowout losses against experienced club teams. This week both rebounded to win competitive games with 8U winning by double digits and 10U defeating Menehune in a thrilling nail biter that came down to the last second! What was especially great was having one of our newer players step up for 8U. While we LOVE getting new talent, we usually have to develop our own players, and Hudson joins a long line of "beginners" to basketball that have become both talented athletes and players...Luke Cunningham, Lincoln Coaty, the Mefford brothers and many many others. 8U and 10U have revamped our practice program to try to ensure we are building fundamentals from the ground up and it was great to see Hudson put some of his athleticism and basketball skills to work. Also congrats to Emilie, who didn't let a bad first week get to her, but courageously attacked the rim and played much better defense than the week prior. We're also grateful for Iron Will Athletics for helping us round out our roster. Great job Hudson, Emilie, and the entire 8U Co-Ed and 10U girls for staying positive and rebounding after tough losses!

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Although there are still a few additions and potential changes, we posted the results of our volleyball assessments on Stack Team on a google sheet Tuesday afternoon. Since we'd prefer to keep this list semi-private, if you ARE NOT already on Stack Team, please sign up to view the list or DM this account and we will happily share it with you. It was wonderful to see so many familiar (and new!) faces on Monday.

1.Please go to the App Store or Google Play and download Stack Team App onto your mobile device, then follow these simple steps:

2. Sign-up to Stack Team App. You'll be sent an e-mail to activate your account. Try to create accounts for your children FIRST. This makes it easier to get you on the right team. You'll be able to link yourself to them as a guardian during the process.

3. Log-in and search for Oahu Kraken, then request to become a member.

4. An admin will approve your request. You'll see the list posted in the All Members chat and we will also put you on the correct access group for your player(s) team(s).

A pleasant reminder that tonight is Volleyball assessments for everyone except the current varsity boys team. If you definitely want to play but can't make it tonight, please ensure you send your details to Coach Nate via email or text...[email protected] or 315-771-8871 to include your player's name, gender, age, 2026-2027 grade level and skill level (beginner/intermediate/advanced).

But hope to see everyone else tonight at 7 PM at Waipio Grace Brethren Church. Try to arrive a few minutes early to check-in and make sure we have your information! Thanks!

LAST CALL FOR VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS

Due to some leadership turnover, we are holding one final assessment for ALL PLAYERS except boys varsity.

Who: All potential Kraken volleyball players EXCEPT the current boys varsity team

What: Varsity/Intermediate/Elementary Team Assessments

When: Monday, August 3, 7:00-8:30 PM

Where: Waipio Grace Brethren Church, 95-035 Waimakua Dr, Mililani, HI 96789

Why: In order to determine which players and teams we will field in our competitive school leagues

How: current/former Kraken players should wear their uniform tops, new players should try to wear a white T-shirt with their last name on it if possible

For any addition questions, please email Coach Nate at [email protected] or text at 315-771-8871. If you cannot attend this event, you MUST email Coach Nate with your prospective player's age, 2026-2027 grade, assessed skill level (beginner/intermediate/advanced), and years/level of experience. Doing so DOES NOT guarantee you a spot on a roster, but does allow us to consider your player if you have a legitimate reason for not attending.
