Why are you organizing an organization like the Kraken? We are organizing the Kraken to give homeschool kids on Oahu the opportunity to play homeschool basketball, honor the LORD with our abilities, participate in the homeschool national basketball tournament, introduce military homeschool kids to mainland teams when they move back, and build enduring friendships on Oahu.

re you trying to recruit? The Kraken actively recruits committed athletes from homeschool communities across Oahu using the following tools.

3. How do you anticipate raising funds to pay for leagues, uniforms and the homeschool national basketball tournament? The Kraken raises funds from organizations that share its values and treasure a commitment to homeschooling.

• Work Days
4. Where and when do you hope to practice? The Kraken will practice consistently as close to central Oahu as possible and use each practice to build skills, teamwork, stamina, and competitive spirit.

• Align practice frequency to the intensity required in competition
5. The Kraken will compete across Oahu from September to March in local leagues, and in scrimmages with private schools. The Fall season will be used to build momentum for the actual basketball season from November to March. The Kraken will close their season by competing as full teams in the Homeschool National Basketball Championships in Springfield, Missouri in March, supported by parents, fundraisers, and extended family both in person and virtually.
