Today, Milford Lodge No. 344 honors and remembers the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.
Their courage, dedication, and sacrifice will never be forgotten. As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, let us take a moment to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy because of those who gave everything to protect them.
Milford Lodge No. 344 proudly stands in remembrance and gratitude for all our fallen heroes.
Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

I’m pleased to share that the renovation of our first-floor rental space is now complete. Thank you to all the Brothers who generously gave their time and effort to bring this project to the finish line. Because of your hard work, we completed the renovation on schedule and are now able to command nearly double the rent of our previous tenant. I’m also happy to report that, as of May 1st, we have secured a signed lease agreement along with a deposit from our new tenant.

I would like to extend a special thank you to Brother Loren Perkins and his wife, Angie Perkins, for securing a grant from Lowe’s Home Improvement. Their support provided both materials and labor, allowing us to restore the space with period-appropriate colors and finishes that reflect the building’s original construction in 1830.

Brother Perkins, thank you for leading this effort and helping make this project such a success.

Once again, this was a true team effort—thank you to each and every Brother who contributed.

Cordially & Fraternally,
Brother Fred Potenza
Worshipful Master

Please see the attached before-and-after photos of the renovated space.

Cinco de Mayo holds significance in Masonry primarily through the connection of its key figure, General Ignacio Zaragoza, who was a known member of the fraternity in Mexico. The 1862 battle victory against French forces, often linked to Masonic liberal ideals of sovereignty and opposition to foreign monarchy, represents a symbolic triumph of republicanism

Cinco de Mayo is primarily a military victory that has morphed into a cultural celebration, Mexican Masons, particularly in Puebla, often honor the role their brothers played in the country's struggle for sovereignty.
