Imagine washing dishes for 25+ people every single day, no dishwashers. 🍽️🧽🧼 At the ministries, it’s part of life. Chores are often rotated so the load is shared. What could feel overwhelming becomes manageable because everyone steps in.

Each year, our TSOR team looks for ways to improve daily living at each ministry. For something as simple as dishes, that might mean installing a dual‑bay sink so washing and rinsing becomes easier and more efficient.

These kinds of improvements are only possible because of donor support. đź’› When you share our story, follow our journey, and give toward these projects, you help us lighten the daily load and improve each ministry environment. Together, we make everyday life better.

Let’s continue to give thanks! 💜🙏🏻

Because of your support with tuition, all of the children at HCCM have also returned to school for this semester. Having school fees covered means focusing on what really matters, their classes, their studies, and most importantly, their future. ✨

We’re grateful for the way you’ve made education possible for us, and we’re excited to keep making the most of it. If you’d like to help more kids stay in school, join us by sharing, following, or giving today. 💛

Yesterday we shared how Jude came to us, a little boy with no family, no history, and a name given to him by strangers.

Today we want to share part 2 from Noah, NLM’s ministry leader, and the moment everything changed. ✨

We had a team of missionaries visiting, and they took the kids swimming. There was an opportunity for baptism, and when it was explained, Jude walked straight up to me and said he wanted to be baptized… and that he wanted a new name. A Christian name.

That day, Mama Laurie named him Jude. ❤️

Today, Jude is in Primary 4. School is hard for him, but farming? Farming is his joy. He always has a garden growing, and right now we’re harvesting passion fruits from his own plant. He dreams of becoming a farmer and maybe a carpenter like Papa Ernie.

From a nameless boy on the streets… to a beloved son with a future. This is Jude’s story. And it’s still being written. 🌱

Today we would like to introduce Jude’s story, told from NLM’s ministry leader, Noah. 💙Jude is 14 years old now, but the...

Today we would like to introduce Jude’s story, told from NLM’s ministry leader, Noah. 💙

Jude is 14 years old now, but the first time I met him, he was just 8, a tiny boy surviving alone on the streets of Kiyunga. Everyone called him Alamanzani, the only name he had. No one knew where he came from. No family. No age. No story.

He slept on shop porches, doing hard labor just to be allowed to stay the night. He ate from rubbish pits, picking through leftovers to survive. And yet… he never missed a single outreach visit. Every time our church came to Kiyunga, he was there, waiting for us.

When we opened NLM, he was one of the very first children we brought home. But safety didn’t feel familiar to him. He’d wake up before sunrise to do every chore in the house because he didn’t understand that he didn’t have to “earn” a place to sleep anymore.

And the trauma… it showed up in the nights. Night terrors. Sleepwalking. Wandering off for days at a time. It took prayer, patience, and love to help him feel safe.

But that’s only the beginning of Jude’s story. The most beautiful part comes next. ♥️

Part 2 coming tomorrow.

Laundry at MCCM is pretty basic: no machines, just buckets, soap, and a clothesline. 👚👖 The kids and caretakers wash everything by hand - soaking, scrubbing, rinsing, and wringing things out before hanging them in the sun to dry. It’s part of daily life here.

A lot of the kids do their own laundry day to day, and the bigger chores rotate each week so everyone shares the work. Older kids usually help the younger ones, and it turns into this rhythm of people looking out for each other. đź’ś

If you want to see how routines like this keep the whole place running, or support the kids who make it happen, please follow along and share our stories. ✨

Christine’s early years were difficult. Her mother left when she was 6, and two years later she lost her father. With no stable support at home, she began fetching water and digging for neighbors just to earn food. When the village chairperson learned what she was carrying alone, they reached out to Pastor Emma, who welcomed her into the HCCM family.

Today, Christine is thriving. She loves teaching, ushering at church, and anything in her favorite color, pink. 🌸

She has a smile that brightens any room, and a calm patience that makes her incredible with younger children. She’s even been teaching us new words in her language, she’s that good at helping others learn. 📚

We’re grateful to walk alongside her as she grows into everything she’s meant to be.

At MCCM, Ruth and Phiona make a fresh juice blend for the kids using passion fruit, mango, and carrots. It’s a simple recipe, but it delivers a lot of nutritional value, especially helpful for active kids in a very warm Uganda.

đź’ś Passion fruit provides vitamin C and natural fiber, which support digestion and help keep energy steady throughout the day.

🥭 Mango adds vitamin A and antioxidants that contribute to healthy eyes and a strong immune system.

🥕 Carrots bring beta‑carotene, which the body converts into vitamin A. important for vision, skin health, and overall growth.

Together, this juice is hydrating and easy for the kids to enjoy. It’s one of the small ways MCCM supports their health and daily well‑being.
