The Connecticut Chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses (CT NAHN) was honored not only to participate in the 2nd Annual Health Fair today but also to serve as a key member of the organizing committee.

Collaborating with our community partners Life, Health and Wellness Center and School of Nursing SCSU to bring this event to life in Ansonia is a testament to our shared commitment to health equity and local advocacy. From the early planning stages to today’s successful turnout, our focus remained on creating a space where every neighbor felt seen, heard, and supported.

A huge shout-out to Maria del Mar Mazza, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, BS, BSN, IBCLC. for her incredible contribution to the day’s programming! Her sessions on healthy eating and avoiding added sugars were a highlight, offering the community practical, actionable steps to take control of their long-term wellness.

By taking an active role in the organization and ex*****on of these fairs, we ensure that the unique needs of our diverse communities are at the forefront of local healthcare initiatives.

Thank you to our fellow committee members and everyone who worked behind the scenes to make this vision a reality. We are stronger when we lead together!

🌟✨ ¡Feliz Día de los Reyes Magos! ✨🌟

Today, the Connecticut Chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses celebrates Three Kings Day, a cherished tradition in Hispanic cultures around the world. This special day honors the journey of the Three Wise Men and the gifts they brought to the baby Jesus.

🎁 Fun Facts About Three Kings Day:

🌠 It is celebrated on January 6th, marking the end of the 12 Days of Christmas.
🎂 Many enjoy a festive treat called Rosca de Reyes (King’s Cake), with a hidden figurine inside representing baby Jesus.
👑 Children often leave their shoes out the night before, hoping to receive small gifts from the Three Kings.
🎉 It’s a time for family, faith, and giving!

Wishing all our members and community a day filled with joy, love, and unity. Let’s carry the spirit of giving into the year ahead! 💙
