What does solar power have to do with sharing the Gospel? Everything.

Last week, we gathered with our July Honduras team for our first pre-trip meeting—preparing and getting ready for the work ahead.

At the same time, another SonLight Power team is heading to Honduras this weekend, serving alongside local communities and sharing the love of Jesus.

This is why SonLight Power exists.

Around the world, millions of people still live without reliable electricity. Through solar power, we help bring physical light to homes, schools, clinics, and churches—creating opportunities for education, healthcare, and community growth. But our mission goes beyond technology. We also seek to share the hope and light of Jesus Christ, building relationships that point people to Him.

With one team on the ground in Honduras and another preparing for a July trip, we’re reminded that every trip is about more than a project. It’s about bringing physical light, sharing the hope of Jesus, and building relationships that reflect His love.

Please continue to pray for our teams, our partners, and the communities we have the privilege to serve.

Maria couldn’t stop smiling. 🥹

She sat on the steps holding the crayons, coloring book, and school supplies she had received from the visitors everyone had been talking about.

The gifts meant a lot. But what made Maria’s smile so unforgettable wasn’t what she held in her hands.

It was the people who came.

People who traveled thousands of miles to visit her village and bring solar power to her community for the very first time.

Before the lights came on, Maria received something else that day.

She felt seen.

To her, their presence said what every child longs to hear:

You matter.
You are worth the journey.
You are not forgotten.

At SonLight Power, we bring more than solar energy to communities. We bring hope, dignity, and the reminder that every person is deeply valued.

The solar panels will provide light for years to come. But the message Maria received that day may last even longer:

You matter. You are worth the journey. You are not forgotten.
