What can we add to the ultimate Choir Rule Book? 👇

We just learned that there is apparently a big divide between those who put up their Christmas trees as early as October and those who wait until after Thanksgiving. We have yet to poll this season's singers but we think the majority put up their tree AFTER Thanksgiving! What say you?

"As long as we live, there is never enough singing." Martin Luther

Wednesday wisdom time…
This saying captures an expansive… life-affirming view of music: singing isn’t an unnecessary extra or ornament to life — it’s a continual human and spiritual need. There’s no version of life that has too much singing in it.

Whatever the rest of this week holds for you… remember: there is still more song in you. Have a good one.

If you have been circling the idea of singing again, or singing for the first time since high school, you have not missed your window. No audition, no solo, no one keeping score. Just a room full of people learning the same music together.

The best part of our year starts before the concert rehearsals even begin!

On Saturday, August 29, we gather for our annual retreat. It's a day of singing, laughing, eating too many snacks, and remembering why we do this. New members say it's the moment the Chorale stopped feeling like a group they joined and started feeling like people they know. It's so fun.

On Monday, August 31, regular rehearsals begin.

If you've been thinking about singing with us, this is the season to jump in. No audition and no solo and no pressure. Just show up and add your voice to the room. Do you remember how amazing it feels to sing in a group?

In just a few weeks, our rehearsals for our Fall/Christmas season begin and we would love to have you join us! Click here to learn more: https://clermontchorale.org/register

Why might you want to join us?

1. You can be a beginner and fit right in. You do not need to read music or have a solo voice to belong here. If you can carry a tune and show up ready to learn, there is a chair for you.

2. Sixty voices doing one thing together is a feeling you cannot get from a playlist.

3. Singing in a group lowers stress, improves breathing, and builds the kind of social connection researchers keep linking to longer, happier lives.

4. You will find your people: Teachers, retirees, nurses, students, folks who have not sung since high school. Many of them found friendships that outlasted the concert season.

5. Twenty years and still growing: This is our 20th Anniversary Season, which means you are joining something with roots in this community and plenty of road ahead. Good time to be part of the story.
