Milford Prevention Council

Milford Prevention Council Welcome to the Milford Prevention Council, a community-focused organization dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of youth and families in Milford.

We focus on drug/alcohol prevention, gambling prevention, and mental health awareness. We are a coalition of individuals who work and/or live in Milford. MPC provides projects and programs for numerous initiatives which include the Freshman Forums, Drug Take Back Days, student lead programs that promotes healthy decisions among their peers; Senior University about navigating life post senior year

; Youth Leadership opportunities, and many more. MPC is continually open to new members interested in being active in our initiatives. It has been well documented that on-going, sustainable substance abuse prevention programming with links throughout the community needed to be strengthened. By empowering all sectors of our community; engaging parents successfully and educating youth, we are striving to make our youth healthy, safe and substance free.

🔍 Do you know what’s in your child’s backpack?

Many of today’s va**ng devices are designed to be small, colorful, and easy to conceal—making them difficult for parents and caregivers to recognize. Having open, judgment-free conversations with young people about va**ng and ni****ne can make a meaningful difference.

Ni****ne can affect the developing teen brain and increase the risk of addiction. Awareness is the first step toward prevention.

💬 Talk early. Listen often. Stay informed.

Together, we can help young people make healthy choices and build a stronger, safer community.
