So proud to announce that Scouting America Troop 116 has another Eagle Scout! Grayson Weissberg completed his board of review last night at Akridge Scout Reservation and nailed it! Grayson climbed through his ranks in what was previously known as Cub Scouts and joined our troop in March of 2020. He began his scouting journey with commitment and tenacity earning 38 merit badges and serving in leadership positions including assistant patrol leader, patrol leader, chaplains aide, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader and most recently as Senior Patrol Leader. For his Eagle project, he lead a team in refinishing and refurbishing a Christian Education Classroom at St John’s Church here in Milford.

Congratulations to Grayson for completing his journey and earning what few accomplish…. The coveted Eagle Scout rank of Scouting America!!

Congratulations to our troop scouts tonight as we held a court of honor. One rank advancement and 17 merit badges awarded along with recognition for several service projects! Great job boys!!

A slim number but the boys are having a great time so far! Lots of native viaitors to our campsite thus far so its been interesting

Great work by our Scouts from Troop 116 and Pack 116 tonight by conducting a food drive to help re-stock the Food Pantry at St John’s Church. St John’s has been good to our Troop as our Chartered Organization and we were honored to contribute back to them while helping the less fortunate in our beloved community. Many thanks to Redners for allowing us space and to the generous folks that contributed to the food drive tonight

We just returned from Summer Camp at Camp Rodney in North East Maryland. Hot hot hot but the boys got it done! So Much so that they returned to Milford with an award as a 2023 Rodney Honor Troop designation! Quite an accomplishment considering we only had 5 attend this year and had a provisional scout join us. They also got a perfect score for Clean Camp inspections all 7 days

Shout out
To the Teamwork between BSA Troop 116 and the GS USA Troop 109 along with others as we participated in Community Clean up day. In addition to the two zones we were assigned, we found out that there were two additional
Zones that no one volunteered for. So without hesitation our scouts (both Girl Scouts from Troop 109 GS USA and boys from BSA Troop 116) and their families cleaned up the two remaining areas! Great job!
