Angel's Closet In 2009, Laurie Copass Sanford recognized that many of her patients had a need for clothing and personal items that wasn’t being met. Thus began Angel’s Closet.

The purpose of Angel's Closet is to provide gently used clothing, shoes, and household items to people in need in Iroquois County and the surrounding communities, helping them during times of economic struggle. She began seeking donations of gently used items and made sure they reached those who needed them most. Over time, the community support of her dream to help others grew and a move to a lar

ger space was necessary. Operated under the auspices of the Milford Christian Church, Angel’s Closet is staffed by a group of volunteers who carry on Laurie’s dream. The shop has a constantly revolving inventory of clothing in all sizes, shoes, handbags, kitchen items, bedding, decorative items, toys, games, puzzles, etc. There is no charge for anything in the shop, but monetary donations are always welcome and help us meet the expense of rent. Remember us when you are cleaning out closets and purging household items and wonder what to do with it all. We are open Monday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until noon, Friday 10 to 1, and can also meet you there by appointment (text 815-471-4014). We ask that donations not be left outside the door, as too often they are ruined by weather and have to be disposed of. Thank you for your continued support of Laurie’s dream! God bless you!
