On Saturday, the 13th of June, the Avantara Nursing Home from Milbank arrived, making a pair of highly-organized trips with a total of thirteen residents enjoying a day @ the Buggy Museum. They were
particularily taken with the buggies & the petting goats.

The Whetstone Valley Tractor Club, with ten (10) gorgeous tractors & eleven (11) drivers, were blessed with a quite cool day in which to complete another of their annual driving tours. Their previous visit
was in August, 2023, in 100 degree temps, no wind. Yesterday, a bit breezy, they were able to sit inside the Ag Museum & enjoy their soudough bread sandwiches & empanadas.

Linda & Ed Fawcett brought four (4) young goats to be petted & paid
attention to in their new, temporary abode within our shed. One (1)
goat really liked the petting part while the others were quite happy with just being observed.

I think everyone had fun in Stockholm yesterday!

On Saturday, June 13th we are attmpting to appeal to both ends of the age spectrum, old tractors driven on an annual pilgrimage conducted by the more senior folks amongst us & formerly baby goats, now graduated to "petting goats", for members of the youngest amongst us. Now, we are not suggestiing that you are too old to pet a goat or too young to drive a vintage tractor.

Our chuckwagon willl again offer sourdough sandwiches & fruit empanadas as we have been all summer so far.

This will be the second Saturday the Buggy & the New Ag
Museums will be open in the summer of 2026, & we feel
we are getting off to a great start again! But, I want to mention a couple of bumps in that, last Saturday, the 23rd of May, we said we would have Mexican empanadas. We didn't but we will on the 30th of May.

Ibalso said in another post that we would have baby goats on the 6th of June. Rather, we will have, now, petting goats on the 13th of June. They have grown a tad, you know!

This coming Saturday will be the beginning of our fifth year of operation with the Buggy Museum, our third year with the New Ag Museum & already our second year of having a chuckwagon with which to offer sandwiches - in the village of Stockholm, SD, population about 100 on a good day.

From the onset we have strived to create a venue, a place to see high-quality restorations of machines from 120 to 130 years ago, to ride in a couple of them, perhaps to be entertained on occasions, to enjoy a light $5.00 lunch with friends while sitting amongst forms of antiquity inviting you to think about history.

We have enjoyed your support in these past years, feel free to come back, bring your friends.

This is a flyer we will soom be placing throughout Milbank & in the towns in Grant County, businesses & public sites, reminding everyone of the summer schedule we will be
following in 2026. Of the hundreds of images at our disposal relative to different artifacts to include in such a poster, the upper pair of images are of items given to us very recently. That hand-painted on china pieces by Laura Rodgers from the 1920's can still be found, and still be recognized by the donar, is nothing sort of amazing!

The lower photo is inviting you to take a summer road trip to just about every corner of this county, gently suggesting to
you that the local diversity we can so easily enjoy today was also vitally important in the previous centuries.

These are the new door window posters for the Buggy Museum & the New Ag Museum, across from each in a "venue setting" in
Stockholm, SD. Within this physical context we have a walkway
with our chuckwagon offering meals for sale meals & a loading area for our buggy riders to climb into or out of our carriages.

These posters highlight our growing paintings & prints wall as well
as our very nicely restored 1912 John Deere manure spreader.
