The MDA Celebrates Milan’s Spring!
The Sage House, Marsha Sage’s premiere catering kitchen with state of the art trade fixtures and design, will soon be open. How long has it been since a new business was constructed in downtown Milan? Pa Pete’s? 40 years? Dollar General?
Marsha has already contracted with another local caterer to co-opt an event, which speaks success for both local enterprises. This has been the MDA’s most successful venture so far and we are proud to sponsor productive entrepreneurs in our community.
“Meals by Marsha Sage,” a very successful catering service, will locate and prepare meals for transport to social venues throughout our region. Marsha’s business is well established with an excellent reputation and following. We are proud that she chose Milan as her anchor, and the MDA extends congratulations to her and her family and team of workers for their extraordinary accomplishment. While catering is her primary focus, she will eventually provide “window service” for meals and accompaniments. Marsha hails from a rich lineage of good cooks and hard workers.
There is More News!
Ground breaking has begun on Telfair Line Rd for a community venue for family and social gatherings. Toria Coleman is the developer of this project and she will also construct showrooms for catering and party supplies. We welcome this venture and await more progress as it evolves. It is a work in progress, with progress fueling the excitement.
More!
Milan will soon have its own Food Truck venue which will be located adjacent to PTWdeals under the big oak. It will offer water and wastewater service as well as a bathroom facility for the staff. We are proud of our food trucks, and Ms. Kat and Hulett’s are satisfying our culinary tastes 6 days a week, with Hulett’s Friday Night Fish Fry being a phenomenal success. Ms. Kat’s fried chicken is delicious as well as her other menu items.
And More!
Melissa Robertson has acquired a business license and signed a lease for a new venture in Milan. She will be co-opting with a business partner in an online virtual and sales by appointment thrift shop. The establishment will be located on Mr. Zion St and the name of the business will be “Go Home.” Out of adversity prosperity abounds. She is excited to be a part of the Milan retail vista again, and we welcome her wholesome and friendly presence.
These are exciting times in Milan. Our community is neither defined nor restricted by city limit boundaries, and everyone’s money is the same color. As Milan struggles to rebound, let us be thankful for our friends and neighbors who support our endeavors with love and respect.
