We'd like to recognize 2 of our members in particular from yesterday's awards presentation at the Pennsylvania FFA Convention.

Recent grad, Nathan Criswell was finally able to take 1st place in the Safe Tractor Operation CDE. Nate has competed in this CDE every year and has always come close to 1st.

Upcoming Sophomore Kayden Keister competed in Aquatics along with being the first ever Mifflinburg member to compete in the Talent CDE. Kayden was the guy who always had a card trick to show us as he walked into class every morning, so his advisors suggested he share his performance at the FFA talent show where he took 3rd place out of 17 very talented acts!

Some of our members went to the 97th Pennsylvania FFA state convention this week! We all had such a fun time with many laughs and memories! All students competed and many had successful results!

Almost 20 tractors showed up this morning amd some awards were handed out including the furthest driven, cleanest, most unique, and dirtiest tractors….

Today our 2 BQA classes took a fun trip to Troester Dairy Farm and Mapes Farm Fresh, LLC.

Thank you to these farms for allowing us to visit! We sure had a great time!

As the landscaping work in the courtyard improvement project continued this week, the masonry class also got involved by preparing and pouring a concrete pad for a picnic table. Special thanks to Mifflinburg Ag alumni Justin and Lane Hook from S&J Concrete who generously donated their time, tools, and expertise to help put on the finishing touches.

The Mifflinburg Ag Department has arranged for a pesticide applicator's exam testing session to be held this Friday at 9 AM at our District Administration Office, located on Maple Street. This session is also open to the public, in addition to our students. You must preregister at https://www.paplants.pa.gov/

We couldn’t be more grateful for amazing community partners! Andrew Snook is a past FFA member and graduate of Mifflinburg. He now started and operates his own landscaping business, Snook's Lawncare & Landscaping. Andrew serves as a member on our ag board helping give advice on how we can better our program, he assisted us in conducting FFA officer interviews, and his business just donated mulch for the landscaping class to use in the Mifflinburg High School courtyard!
