Congratulations to the 3 Friday winners who won a free meal ticket, and the 3 Saturday winners who won a BBQ dinner ticket!
Also to the children’s contest, where 15 kids each day won a free snow cone!

And thank you to those who just dressed up for fun, enhancing the spirit of Swiss Days 🙌

SWISS DAYS 2026🇨🇭a glimpse of what was & what’s to come in upcoming posts…

Our charming town of Midway Utah hosts one of the largest events in the state, starting from a community Harvest Days over 80 years ago.

The booths, food, entertainment, 10K, but most of all the behind-the-scenes volunteers, the majority of our community coming together to make it all happen, is a joy to experience!

THANK YOU to all who participated in any way to make this year as wonderful as it was!

Swiss Days baking starts months beforehand, with volunteers signing up to make dough (& later bake) the Swiss bread & Bratzeli cookies for all to enjoy.

Gathering at the historical (& recently restored) cannery building feels like a loving nod or connection to early Midway heritage.

Shifts range from early mornings to evenings. Community members of all ages come to work together, embracing the spirit of a decades-long Swiss Days tradition.

For every aspect of Swiss Days, there is a rotation of chair people heading each committee.
At the moment, Leslie Wasden is over the RS Baking. She used to run her own bakery back east, now finds joy in serving our community with her baking talents and we are thankful for her service.

These and other baked goods can be purchased at the Relief Society Bakery booth, but hurry…They sell out quickly!

Get your SWISS on for the annual Swiss Days Costume Contest 2026🇨🇭

Don your (appropriate) Swiss attire for a chance to win a meal ticket!
Whether a head wreath, goatsbeard hat, or the full sha-bang dirndl or lederhosen, we highly encourage (appropriate) Swiss attire to join in the spirit of Swiss Days!

Categories: Adults & Kids

3 adult winners will be selected each day.
•Friday winners receive a meal ticket
•Saturday winners receive a beef BBQ ticket

•15 kids will receive a snow cone ticket, both days

How it works:

ADULTS:
Each day at 2:00, meet at the Midway Boosters merchandise booth to get your photo taken. (Located behind the main stage)
Swiss Days & Boosters committee members will choose 3 winners.

Winners will be announced from the main stage at 3:00. Must be present to win.

KIDS: each day, the first 15 kids to come to the Midway Boosters merchandise booth will receive a snow cone ticket!
(at the Midway Elementary School booth by the bounce house)

We had a great costume turn out last year, we can’t wait to see more of you join in the festive FUN! 🇨🇭

Trash 🗑️ This is a kind reminder to all vendors to please “pack in/pack out.”

The piles of trash left behind at the booths from boxes/packaging etc is not the responsibility of the volunteers; many of whom are families w/ young children, who all help set-up & take-down the equipment on the square.
(2nd picture is from just one quadrant of booths, there were multiple plies like this all over the square)

•There are garbage cans everywhere for plates/cups during the weekend
•Boxes/packaging should all be packed out with your booth! (or at least in provided dumpsters)

We love having you here and appreciate your help in keeping the square clean. Thank you for your future cooperation, which also helps the volunteers focus on equipment cleaning/take down.

We’re already looking forward to another successful year in 2026!

Costume Contest WINNERS🇨🇭
(& our first annual Swiss Costume Contest!)

Encouraging Swiss attire at Swiss Days, each day at 3:00, participants meet at the Booth/Market to get their picture taken. The Boosters then collaborate on the top 3, with the winners being announced on the main stage at 4:00, to win a free mail ticket on Friday, and the brisket dinner ticket on Saturday!

THANK YOU to all who participated, as there were many to choose from & it was not an easy decision to narrow down to these few!

We hope to see more of you don your Swiss attire next year for a chance to win free meals!
