The following is an official statement from the current Board of Directors:

This is the final entry to be made by Woodland Lakes Resort POA on this page. An official page belonging only to the entity that is legally known as "Woodland Lakes Resort POA" the current board of directors has conducted an in-house audit of business affairs following an office shutdown a few weeks ago. This audit has revealed extensive breaks in the system designed to serve you, the people of Woodland Lakes. for this reason, the current board has ordered a forensic IT Audit to accompany a hard copy audit. This effort is to establish a clear and definitive history of ill-gained transactions and misappropriation conducted by and permitted by former board members and staff.

We would like to submit a formal apology to the community for the numerous improprieties, bad business practices and professional misconduct administered over the past four-plus years. The current board acknowledges that abuses of power, fiscal irresponsibility and employee misconduct have hijacked POA organizational structure and community welfare from as early as 2019. We have determined it to be in the best interest of the community that further clarity and evidence be provided via a completed audit and that upon ascertainment and review we move forward with solution-driven projects and programs to revitalize and restore the wellness of our community in conjunction with healthy business practices. That being said, the November 14th Board Meeting is postponed until these tasks are complete and an accurate statement of business affairs can be provided with legal representation present to assist in addressing your questions.

This site will offer convenient access for you to more easily make payments, access our community calendar, submit inquiries, reviews and concerns. The Woodland Lakes Revitalization Project is a campaign to help restore the community by healing relationships, establishing renewed bonds of trust and interdependence. The nature of a community is designed to be supportive in fellowship, safety and security. the programs and projects to be set forth in our future will reflect this common effort. We ask all members to consider your role and position and determine for yourselves how you too can be a pivotal part of the Woodland Lakes transformation. Thank you. We want to thank everyone who helped to look for the lost autistic boy. He has been found safe. The police have reunited him with his grandmother.

The police are looking for this man. He was said to have been seen near Woodland Lakes so they are using drones to search around the lakes.

Missing Person

The Liberty County Sheriff's Office is requesting the public's assistance in locating Jeremy McElveen. He was last seen on August 10, 2023 wearing a blue button up shirt and blue jeans. Anyone with information can contact Liberty County non-emergency number 912-368-3911.

We have a couple of items in the clubhouse that were found outside.
We have a pair of Nikes, black, size 10.5 that were left by one of the covered benches near the shuffleboard courts.
We also have a watch that was found outside the pool fence.
Id either of these are your please contact the office to get them back.
