Chapter 555 Members,
First, I sincerely hope you are all well. I miss seeing you all and look forward to the day we can all get together at the Post and enjoy each other’s company.
In these unprecedented times, we try to maintain something of a regular routine. Not at all easy considering the circumstances. The ALR Department of California has asked that, if possible, we continue with the process. So, that’s what we will attempt to do.
I am asking for you all to consider running for an Officer position. I will not be able to continue as President, as I have other obligations that have made it difficult to devote the amount of time required to properly sit at the head of the Chapter. As in all elections, all Officer positions are available.
We need you to step up, otherwise, our Chapters future is in doubt. We need to have people on the Board to perform properly. If we don’t have Officers, we don’t have a Chapter. We are as large a Chapter as any in the entire State, and there should be no reason to have to beg people to step up.
If you wish to run for any office, email me at [email protected], or contact any of our seated Officers. This notice is for First round nominations, second round and elections will be held at our May meeting, if indeed we can meet. If not, we will hold elections in a digital, online manner.
For those members who have steadfastly refused to join the page, or in some instances, even refused to get an email address, well, that’ll just means their voice is not going to be heard, just as if they failed to attend a meeting.
If you wish to nominate someone, please make sure they agree to the nomination prior to submitting their name. As, I stated earlier, these are unprecedented times and they call for unprecedented measures.
Don’t be shy. Step up and lead.
