We've had such a great reception to this! We'd like to get a kit out to all our friends with autism in Utah! We are offering delivery of these kits to designated areas in Utah. We love our autism families! We are all in this together!!

As we all work through this pandemic in different ways, I want to highlight the incredible measures that are being taken by individuals with autism and their families. Having routines broken, therapies interrupted, options limited, family living dynamics changed…etc, can be incredibly challenging for those who struggle with autism. But, they are doing it!

Our team at Utah Autism Academy wants to help and support these changes for families with autism throughout Utah. So, we’ve created “L.I.F.T. Kits” (Living in Isolation – Feeling Togetherness - Kits). These kits are simply gift bags with small trinket toys fun and things to do. We also include options for visual schedules, social stories, reinforcement boards, educational materials, etc (based on specific need). These kits are designed for individuals with autism and their siblings and are FREE to the autism community, no strings attached (thanks to the generosity of many)!

We will be distributing these LIFT Kits starting tomorrow (4/11 - Saturday – times listed below) for those who register through this link. We will have staff standing by as you “drive by” to pick up your kit and feel some encouragement from those who are distributing them. You will stay in your car and staff will be wearing gloves and masks as they bring you your kit. Social distancing will be in full effect.

The only thing we ask of you, is that you write a note of encouragement to another family who is impacted by autism and drop it off as you pick up your kit. This will help us feel united and together, regardless of the separation that we feel.

Lets give each other a LIFT!
Together, though separated, we can do this!

Feel free to share this post!

Many of you have heard of and commented about the "Quiet Santa" experience at University Place in Orem. Our organization has been working closely with them on this project and I asked if we could open up some more time slots for our autism families. As of right now, they have agreed to do that. Let me know if you are interested in participating in this amazing experience. They are 15 minute time slots for your family with Santa and there is no cost to you. **Note: these slots are for 10:00am - 11:00am on specific days. PM me for more details or to register. These will go quickly.. I hope some of you are able to take advantage of it. :)
