IEC of Utah

IEC of Utah IEC of Utah is an Electrical Contractor Association & IEC Education of Utah is an Electrical school. We are now one of 50 chapters nationwide.

Like-minded commercial and residential contractors came together with a main goal, to be another voice for the
Electrical Industry in Utah. IEC of Utah joined IEC National in 1996 with eager contractors ready to make a difference in the electrical laws and apprentice training in Utah. Our members are dedicated to quality, integrity, and professionalism in the electrical construction industry. Som

e of our early members got involved with IEC National and became familiar with their training program. In 2003, a non-profit corporation was formed in Utah. Since then, IEC of Utah has strived to build strong relationships in our industry and with the State of Utah. IEC has been involved with the following: State Electrical board, DOPL, apprentice training and testing, and legislative processes. With the electrical industry rapidly changing, IEC of Utah decided to form another corporation to better equip and train our apprentices and members
IEC of Utah’s Board evaluated the needs of our contractors and determined there was not an online apprentice training program fitting the needs of students and their work schedules. Several of the IEC contractors had great need for flexible training schedules and classes. In 2008, IEC of Utah created a non-profit school: IEC Education of Utah. Since then, we have continued to expand our offerings from online only, to classrooms and hybrid options with over 600 students. IEC Education has been a success, from creating a school for apprentices then expanding into the following: BICSI, math, journeymen prep classes, and prep questions. IEC Education continues to be active with IEC national curriculum development to keep our focus on activities to help the technician student.

💰 Register Early. Save Money.💰

We are now less than six months away from the November license renewal deadline! If you still need Continuing Education (CE) credits, now is the perfect time to start planning.

To help encourage early registration and better accommodate demand, we’re introducing a new sliding-scale pricing structure based on when you enroll—not when you attend the class.

✅ All CE courses through November are now posted and open for registration.
✅ The earlier you register, the lower your course cost will be.
✅ Early enrollment helps us determine if additional classes need to be added to meet demand.
Our goal is to make sure everyone has ample opportunities to complete their required CE hours while maintaining quality instruction and manageable class sizes.

*As always IEC of Utah Members are eligible for group discounts but you must reach out the Kelsee@iecofutah ASAP.

Don’t wait until the last minute—register early, save money, and secure your spot today! 🎉
