Turns out, it’s a shoulder shrug and a silent whatevs."

✡Living the Mitzvot: Week 31✡

✡Living the Mitzvot: Week 30✡

Talmud Torah, the study of Jewish texts, is a lifelong mitzvah. It’s not about memorizing facts—it’s about wrestling with meaning. Torah invites us into a sacred conversation across generations, sharpening our minds and softening our hearts.

✡Living the Mitzvot: Week 28✡

We are thrilled that Rabbi Zachary Jellson has joined the Darshan Yeshiva mentoring staff! Rabbi Zachary is a Post-Denominational rabbi, spiritual director, and yoga teacher based in Georgia. He was ordained at Pluralistic Rabbinical Seminary (Class of 2022) and graduated from Stillpoint’s spiritual direction program last spring.

“My work is for people who are looking for a Jewish life that feels rooted in their truth. I care deeply about creating space for honest questions, thoughtful exploration, and a process that feels personal rather than performative. I am especially glad to work with people who may not see themselves reflected in more traditional Jewish spaces, including LGBTQIA+ people, interfaith couples, and those coming to Judaism through a nontraditional path.” -Rabbi Zachary

✡Living the Mitzvot: Week 27✡

Saying brachot before eating, drinking, or experiencing something beautiful is a practice of mindfulness and gratitude. It helps us slow down, acknowledge the Source, and savor the sacred in the everyday.

✡Living the Mitzvot: Week 26✡

The Shema is Judaism’s central declaration of faith. Reciting it morning and night connects us to Divine unity and personal responsibility. It’s both a meditation and a mission statement—a reminder to listen, love, and act with purpose.
