Anyone who works with rescue rabbits has heard these a million times. The jokes aren't clever, and they aren't funny.

Loving animals and not wanting them to suffer isn't the reason people go hungry.

The world already produces enough calories to feed everyone. Hunger is mostly a problem of poverty, conflict, and distribution, and harvesting more animals wouldn't change that.

I work with rabbits every day, and I can tell you they have real personalities. They bond, they play, and they feel fear and comfort just like any other animal we love.

You're allowed to care about a creature that someone else sees as dinner.

Compassion doesn't take food off anyone's plate.

If you'd like to help a rabbit in need, Hoppy Homes 4 Bunnies is always looking for adopters, fosters, and donations. Every bunny deserves a safe, loving home. 🐰

We have had a few new volunteers and their help has been tremendous. We think so many positive interactions with people is maybe finally starting to rub off on Cookie- our resident shy girl 😍😍😍She just melted for pets for 15 minutes. Previously she would only ask for pets by hiding in Pierre’s fur when he’s getting love(she thinks she’s being sneaky). She is still available for adoption with Pierre- her much smaller partner. Like any event we do, it always depends on who we have in our rescue and who we think will enjoy all of the extra attention and run space! We have a few options of bunnies though that we think will enjoy it.

The lights are coming on and it’s so cute to watch. I’m starting to feel a little less worried about them surviving. Especially our tiny runt. Today “we” INVESTIGATED every square inch of space. Then “we” got really sleepy. Can’t believe people thought they would thrive outside.
