A reminder about tomorrow…
SANCTUARY RESCUE IS HIRING!!
Between all of our community programs, dozens and dozens (and dozens) of dogs, the clinics, the events, and all of the other rescue responsibilities we are currently juggling, we are swamped, exhausted, and spread a little too thin. We need a few extra paws (get it) to help us continue to save animals and be awesome.
We are looking to fill two part-time positions - or if the perfect magical person that would be great at all things appears, it could be one full-time position. We simply don’t have any extra time to go through hundreds of applications, so we’re just going to open our doors for a day of open interviews: Thursday, May 21, from 12 noon to 7 PM at Liz’s Place Rescue Resource Center, 16916 Hull Street Road, Moseley, Va. stop by anytime between noon and 7 pm next Thursday, just bring a resume with you, and we’ll chat about both of our needs.
This is what we’re looking for:
1) Part-time Admin Assistant 20-25 hours a week Tuesday-Saturday, $25 an hour. We are looking for someone that is a self-starter, able to accomplish tasks without much oversight/micromanaging, proactive, friendly, great communication skills both oral and written, great sense of humor, moderately tech savvy, knowledgeable with Google Workspace, lots of good energy and good vibes. This position will encompass all things office work.
2) Part-Time Animal Enrichment Officer 20-25 hours a week, Tuesday through Saturday, $25 an hour. This will require animal handling - mostly dogs, occasionally cats, and not so occasionally a loud, mean, judgy cockatoo. You will make sure animals in our program are happy, healthy, and clean. Must love dogs and have dog handling experience on some level. If you want to just put on headphones and not deal with people and smooch wrinkly potatoes instead, this is perfect. This position is physical in nature; there’s cleaning, organizing, laundry, dog walks, event setup, etc.
In full transparency, we don’t have the bandwidth to field emails and calls and questions and messages about these positions right now - that’s what we need you for - so if you’re interested or think you’d be a great fit, just stop by Thursday, May 21 between 12 and 7 pm and ask us your questions then.
Pic of your future coworkers for attention.
