Meet Noah — our very own Golden Bachelor💛

At 10 years young, Noah is officially done playing games. He’s ready to settle down, find his person, and spend his golden years exactly where he belongs: on a plush sofa, next to the love of his life.

He’s mature. He’s distinguished. And he knows how to treat a human right.

A Few Quick Stats
10 years | 101 lbs | Low energy | Professional couch potato

What Noah Brings to the Relationship:
• Gentle, easygoing companionship
• Leisurely yard strolls with plenty of time for important sniffing
• Treat-taking skills worthy of a five-star restaurant
• Impressive manners — sit, down, and shake
• A goofy side that comes out when a ball is involved

And then there are Noah’s adorable quirks. He considers tossing a ball into the air, chasing it, and dramatically rolling on top of it an extreme sport. And when it’s time to drink? He prefers to lie completely flat on the floor. Why drink standing up when you can make hydration a full-body experience?

Noah’s Dream Match:
He’s looking for a low-key partner with a one-story home or minimal stairs. He has a little arthritis that he manages well with daily joint supplements. He’d love someone who is home during the day or a friendly resident dog to keep him company.

He’s great with kids of all ages and has lived with cats before, too.

Car rides? Not exactly his favorite red-carpet event. But once he arrives home, Noah is ready to give you what every Golden Bachelor contestant is really looking for: loyalty, companionship, and a best friend for life.

Think Noah might be your perfect match? We think this Golden Bachelor is going to need a very big sofa.

Marley and Who??

Miss Marley is a low energy lady who is ready to settle down next to someone on the couch in her fur-ever home! Her love languages are touch and words of affirmation– she absolutely loves pets and kisses, and being told she’s the best girl. She enjoys shorter walks, playing with her favorite toys, meeting new people, and retrieving thrown balls outside. Once she warms up in her new home, she won’t leave your side! Her ideal home would be where she could spend most of her time getting the full attention of her family, while napping and cuddling throughout the day. If you think you have enough love to fill Marley’s cup, submit an application through the link listed below.

Must knows:

• Female yellow lab, 8 years old and 96 lbs

• Children ages 10+, adults only preferred

• Prefers to be the only dog

• Unknown with cats

• Low energy level, couch potato

• Fenced in yard not necessary

• A cuddly love bug

Pepper has car rides down to a science. She starts by sitting up tall to watch the road like a very serious co-pilot, then pops her snout toward the window for a few good sniffs. Once she has taken in the sights and smells, she settles down and eventually drifts off to sleep. Bonus points if the car comes with a pillow, even when that pillow is an improvised fold of the seat cover.

Pepper has come a long way since she has arrived in rescue, and being able to ride calmly is one more sign of the trust and confidence she has built. She may not be looking for a packed social calendar, but she is an excellent companion for long drives and is easy to get into the car when it is time for a vet visit. In the right quiet, steady home, Pepper can enjoy the journey while knowing she has a peaceful place to return to.

Pepper Quick Facts:

• 5 years old, about 105 lbs

• Cat friendly with proper introductions

• Dog friendly with proper introductions

• Great house manners, with no chewing or accidents

• Building confidence every week and will thrive with continued positive training

• Most at ease in quiet environments with calm routines, fully fenced yard required

• Has a silly streak that appears once she feels safe

• Favorite toy is a giant stuffed octopus, and she LOVES playing in water

• Takes daily thyroid medication

Welcome to town, Buster Brown!

Who’s this new pup in town? It’s Buster Brown! At just over a year old, this young dog is looking for a fun-loving family to call his own. He’s trained up on his manners, from knowing his basic behaviors like “sit” and “come,” to settling down sweetly in his crate when humans leave the house. He’s a big fan of playing fetch and romping around with other dogs, and he enjoys going on outings of all kinds with people. Even after running around the yard, this loyal dog will always come back to your side. Since he’s still a young thing, there is still lots for Buster Brown to learn, especially when settling into a new home, and having an experienced person to set him up for success would be perfect for this handsome, young guy!

Must knows:

• Neutered 1 year old yellow lab

• Good with children

• Dog friendly

• Indifferent with cats

• Medium to high energy

• Fenced in yard preferred, with supervision

• Confident handler

🐾 Meet Grits — Your New Favorite Senior Gentleman! 🐾

At 11 years young, Grits has figured out what life is really about: sunshine, comfy spots, good treats, and great company. 💛

Grits is a sweet, easygoing guy who doesn’t need much to be happy. He loves spending time outside, strolling around the yard, relaxing in the sun, and simply being near his people. He’s independent enough to entertain himself but always appreciates having his family close by.

He also does well with other dogs! 🐶 He’ll occasionally join in the fun, but he’s equally happy letting the younger pups do the running while he supervises from a comfortable spot. 😂

Grits gets around well and enjoys life at his own relaxed pace. He would be perfect for a family looking for a quiet, gentle companion who is ready to settle in and enjoy his golden years surrounded by love.

✨ A little more about Grits:
• 🐕 Dog friendly
• 🐱 Cats unknown — Grits does have a prey drive
• 💤 Low energy
• 💛 Gentle, calm & easygoing
• 👧 Kids 8+
• 🌳 Fenced yard required
• 🏡 An all-around wonderful companion

Grits isn’t asking for a busy life — he’s just looking for his people, his yard, and a place to finally call home. ❤️

Could that be with you?

MEET TALLEY - Available to “Foster-to-Adopt”

She’s 5. She’s sweet. She’s beautiful. And she’s officially ready to retire from outdoor-pen life and begin her career as a professional couch dog.

Talley is a lovely yellow Lab who is gentle, easygoing, and wonderfully tolerant. She can be a little shy when she’s somewhere new, but give her a little time and she’ll warm up, start exploring, and happily introduce herself to the people around her.

5 years | 48–60 lbs | Medium energy

Dog Friendly: Absolutely. Talley is calm and appropriate with other dogs and would do best as an only dog or with a calm canine companion her age or older.

Cats: Unknown

Kids: Ages 8+

What Talley really wants is pretty simple: a home where she can be part of the family. She’s spent too much time in an outdoor pen because of her family’s busy schedule, travel, and downsizing. Now she’s ready for a soft bed, a loving family, and all the everyday things that make a house feel like home. And frankly, we think this girl has waited long enough for her standard couch privileges. We think she is pretty good health, but LRGR will pay for a vet wellness check and cover any expenses that are needed.

Could you be her forever family? Are you interested in fostering Talley with the option of adopting her? Learn more about our Foster-to-Adopt program at https://www.labrescue-richmond.com/foster-to-adopt

JACKSON & DAKOTA’S HAPPY ENDING

Meet Jackson (10) and Dakota (11) — two beloved Labs who found their forever home through Lab Rescue of Greater Richmond. Jackson joined the family in July 2024, and Dakota followed in October 2025. Now they’re living their best lives together, soaking up the sunshine and enjoying every summer adventure.

Jackson is the laid‑back gentle giant at 116 lbs, happiest lounging in the shade and watching the world go by. Dakota, a spry 60 lbs, still bounces through life with the energy of a three‑year‑old — always ready for playtime or a car ride with Dad.

Both boys are well‑mannered, toy‑loving, carrot‑crunching companions who bring endless joy to their home. Their bond is pure proof that rescue dogs don’t just find homes — they find family.

“I love the stories LRGR shares and the countless happy endings — especially Daisy and Duke’s adoption! Thank you to every volunteer and foster who makes these moments possible.”

Today, Jackson and Dakota are exactly where they were meant to be — surrounded by love, sunshine, and the comfort of home. 🐾
