The Midlothian Rotary Club meets Tuesdays at 12:00pm at Beef ‘o’ Brady’s, 1000 George Hopper Rd., except for the first Tuesday when we meet at 7:30am at Lighthouse Coffee Bar, 1404 N Ninth St.

We’re looking forward to welcoming Bekah Princess to the Midlothian Rotary Club as this week’s guest speaker.

Bekah is a Mansfield native who has spent the past several years serving Central Texas through community-based nonprofits, food programs, and hospital fundraising efforts. Her experience includes supporting families at Helping Hands Ministry of Belton, leading communications, operations, and outreach initiatives, and partnering with donors and local businesses through Children’s Miracle Network at McLane Children’s Medical Center. Bekah holds a BBA in Marketing from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and MPA in Public Policy and Non-Profit Management from Liberty University.

Bekah is deeply passionate about community building and believes in the power of connection, compassion, and shared stories to strengthen the places we call home.

Tomorrow is our annual Four Way Test speech contest featuring high school students from Midlothian and Heritage High Schools.

Each year, these students compete for cash prizes and the opportunity for one standing speaker to compete at the district level.

Join us on Tuesday, March 10 at 11:30am at the Midlothian Civic Center for this competition.

Come see us at 12pm on Tuesday, March 3 to hear guest speaker, Angela Ewton, talk about all the things you should (and shouldn’t!) do when it comes to your plumbing.

Angela Ewton is the co-owner and daily office manager of Midlothian Plumbing, where she brings decades of experience in small business management and operations. With a strong commitment to customer care, Angela is often the first friendly voice customers hear, and she works tirelessly to ensure every client feels valued and every job is handled with care from start to finish.

Her passion for service, attention to detail, and dedication to her team play a key role in the company’s success and reputation in the community.

Outside of the office, Angela enjoys spending time with her husband, Tommy, and their two German Shepherds, Roman and Willow. She also loves traveling whenever she gets the chance.

We hope to see you this Tuesday, February 10, from 12-1pm for this week’s Rotary program!

Our guest speaker this week is Emily D***s, Vice President of Operations for Methodist Midlothian.

Emily D***s, MHA, serves Methodist Health System as the vice president of operations for Methodist Midlothian Medical Center. She has a strong administrative background and experience with developing services lines, supporting key operational functions, and streamlining processes to improve patient experience metrics.

Before she joined the Midlothian team, D***s served as the assistant vice president of operations at Methodist Dallas Medical Center and has been an integral part of Methodist Health System for over seven years. Her time at Methodist Dallas was marked by several successful initiatives, including serving as the Patient Experience Champion, improving employee engagement ratings, and achieving the first ever TJC/AHA Heart Attack Center Certification for Methodist Dallas. D***s also oversaw several capital projects including the cardiac catheterization lab renovation in 2022 and L&D transformation in 2023.

D***s holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Trinity University and a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University. Outside of work, she is very active within her community and has been heavily involved with the Junior League of Fort Worth since 2020, serving as the merchant chair for the Christmas in Cowtown event. She is happily married to her husband, Kyle, and is the proud mother of two boys. They reside in Fort Worth.
