Hello everyone.
This will be our final statement on the incident that allegedly occured at Ashland on Saturday, September 28.
A member of our association had met an acquaintance a few days prior to the Ashland All-Nighter event. On the day of the event, that member (who was the solo organizer of that event from our association) had issues making it to Ashland, and around 2 hours into the event got a tip from that acquaintance about a fight breaking out. Immediately, to protect the event goers and public, we promptly cancelled the event. The incident had no video, no pictures, and only one proposed witness; who was that acquaintance. The member of our association spread information, all provided from the bad actor, all over social media, resulting in the situation becoming widespread. Today, at much assistance from the community, the member of our association contacted the acquaintance, to which they admitted all information was falsified in hopes of bringing down the reputation of our association, and the member.
We at VTL, especially the member in question, deeply and sincerely apologize for the stirup, and would like to take full responsibility for the widespread and fast sharing nature of this situation, as we failed to fact check information before publicizing.
