Hey Coaches,
Today is the day I need to hear from you about your teams. If you haven't already messaged or emailed please do so by 5pm otherwise your numbers are your numbers.

Also I've heard from Ellie Mae and she will be our food truck for Tuesday and Wednesday. We truly appreciate her doing this for us.

District 6 has made the difficult decision to cancel the August 28-30, 2026 district show due to circumstances beyond our control. We are working with our coaches to determine the best course of action to have a show so our teams still have a season and can qualify for regionals. Options will be discussed by coaches in a meeting on Monday.
Let's be part of the solution and follow the recommendations of quarantining and checking our 4 legged friends. These are your true ride and die partners.
As soon as we have information, we will share it with you as to what we will be doing, do NOT panic, we have a bit of time. Do not be discouraged, we have time. We as a district will survive this and come out stronger on the other side. We believe in you,, please believe in us.

Teams hold tight. We are trying to see if we can move our show to a different weekend. We will hopefully have an answer for everyone but it MIGHT not be til Monday. Just know we are working on it.

We will be cancelling "The Ride the Pattern" event. Thank you to those who signed up but with everything going on which just don't think it's possible to do this event right now.

Keep watch of your furry friends and stay away from each other if possible.

Updated 8/21/26 8pm: This is a developing situation and we are working hard to make good decisions. We take the safety of our riders, teams and their equine partners VERY SERIOUS. Per our other post we are working to move the meets there is more information that will come once options have been investigated.

We have spoken to the Midland County Fairgrounds. Here is what is happening. The horses that are sick have been sent home and the stalls have been treated with bleach then treat synviont (agriculture hard cleaner that is FDA approved) The arena is being treated along with all the wash areas. AFTER the fair is complete and before we move in EVERYTHING will be stripped and treated again. We have spoken to the Executive board and they have said to proceed with our show to the best of our ability. If you do not feel you want to participate let us know. If your horse is sick please keep them home and if you have a healthy horse we can do last minute switches with out vet notes, but once they are switched out you have to stay that way. If you have a back up horse and only registered 1 then add that horse as a back up.

If you are looking to be one of the 10 participants, please message us on our MIHA District 6 FB page. Participants are taken on a first come, first serve basis. Participants MUST be 2026 High School riders for District 6.

Please remember all auditors are welcome and cost is $5 when you enter the stands. You do not need to be a high school riders to audit. Jr high school riders, 4H, adults and other MIHA districts welcome!
