😂🐴 A little glimpse into the day-to-day life of Circle H Haven!
I think people imagine we just hang out with horses, pet donkeys, and take cute pictures all day. And trust me, I WISH! 🤣
Here’s what today actually looks like… and this is ON TOP of the everyday care of the herd!
🎃 More Halloween costumes and decorations
🍬 Treats for the petting zoo
🏡 Pay rent
🐶 Buy dog food
🐴 Separate minis
🛠️ Add clean dirt to the corner stall
🌾 Buy hay
📣 Promote our upcoming event
🚜 Load panels and supplies
📑 Finish an adoption invoice and contract for Sunday
🧲 Schedule the farrier for next week
🛒 Restock at H-E-B
🙋♀️ Follow up with event volunteers
🐴 Schedule an adoption tour
🫏 Prepare for Sunday’s donkey/pony adoption tour
⛽ Get diesel for the tractors
🚚 Coordinate an adoption and transport for a horse going to Seminole
💇♀️ And somewhere in the middle of all this… hair, eyebrows, and a shower. 😂
Meanwhile, the actual rescue still needs feeding, watering, stall cleaning, medical checks, medications, fence maintenance, and a hundred other little things that come with caring for this many animals.
The phone rings, messages pile up, something always needs fixing, and the hay never magically unloads itself. 🤦♀️😂
Octopus arms ENGAGED! 🐙
Running Circle H is a full-time job that somehow manages to become three full-time jobs before breakfast. We do it because these animals matter, and every single one deserves to be cared for.
But if anyone has a spare clone, an extra 12 hours in the day, or a tractor that runs on prayers and good intentions, we’re accepting donations! 🤣❤️
Now, back to the chaos… because apparently, sitting down is not on today’s to-do list! 🐴❤️
