πŸ“Œ We're grateful to share our 2025 Annual Report! ✨

Through your generosity, Permian Basin Area Foundation distributed $17.2 million in grants and scholarships last year, supporting essential services, youth and family programs, and the local leaders who show up every day for West Texas communities.

None of it happens without the donors, nonprofits, neighbors, and volunteers who choose to come together.

We are deeply grateful for each one of you!πŸ’™

Congratulations, Colby! πŸŽ‰
We are so proud of you and grateful to be part of your journey!
The Gordon & Inez Stone Memorial Scholarship and the Mashburn Legacy Scholarship exist because of donors who care deeply about their community and the people in it, and it is our honor to steward that generosity.
Thank you to those donors for making moments like this possible. West Texas is better because of all of you. ✨

Congratulations to TTUHSC Permian Basin School of Medicine graduate and Stanton, TX native, Colby Gordon. Colby won the John Aure Buesseler Douding Dean Memorial Award for Student Excellence at commencement on Monday, May 18th.

What a special evening! ✨
Our very own Lyndzie Tarango, Education Programs Administrator, graduated last night with the 2025–2026 class of Leadership Odessa and our CEO, Guy, was there cheering her on. πŸ₯³

Leadership Odessa walks its class through every corner of this community, covering energy, education, healthcare, nonprofits and more, connecting leaders who might never have crossed paths otherwise.

Thank you, Odessa Chamber of Commerce , for making this possible! We are so proud of you, Lyndzie! πŸŽ“

Last week, we had the honor of hosting fellow Southwest Community Foundation CEOs at our office.

We're still reflecting on the insights shared and conversations had. These are the leaders we learn from, share with, and grow alongside.

Grateful for the conversation and even more inspired for the work ahead. We don't do this work alone, and we wouldn't have it any other way. 🀝✨

Our COO, Jennifer Steadman, was thrilled to join COM Aquatics, Inc. for Flag Day, a beloved tradition where student-athletes hang their college flags and step proudly into their next chapter. This year, 10 athletes committed to their programs and 9 Brad Swendig Scholarship applicants were honored. πŸŠπŸŽ“

PBAF is proud to administer the Brad Swendig Scholarship, and moments like these remind us exactly why.

Whether these students are headed to the pool or the classroom, we're cheering them on every step of the way. 🌟

Congratulations to all the athletes. The best days are still ahead. πŸ™Œ

Yesterday, members of our team attended the Davidson Distinguished Lecture Series at Midland College , featuring Anna Maria ChΓ‘vez, transformational leadership expert, former CEO of Girl Scouts of the USA , President & CEO of the Arizona Community Foundation among many other things. πŸ—ΊοΈ

We've had the privilege of knowing Anna Maria through our shared work in the community foundation space, and hearing her speak was a meaningful reminder of what values-driven leadership looks like in practice. Her message on authentic leadership, collaboration, and community impact resonated deeply with the work we do every day. πŸ€πŸ’‘

We are proud of the ties that connect us, both locally and across the field. 🌟

Thankful to Computer Transition Services, Inc. for hosting their Annual Spring Roadshow and bringing together such thoughtful conversations around data strategy and A.I. innovation. πŸ€–

Our team appreciated the practical insights on how organizations can move from if to how, and how to do it right when adopting A.I.

It was a great opportunity to learn alongside peers and better understand how emerging technology can be approached carefully and intentionally in support of our mission.🌟
