The Midland Education Foundation is proud to support MISD teachers and staff who are investing in their own education to better serve Midland students.

Through Grants for Great Minds, eligible full-time MISD employees can receive a $500 scholarship toward higher education or certification programs, including:
🎓 Bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degrees
🍎 Teacher certification
📚 Principal certification
✏️ Alternative certification programs

Applicants must be full-time MISD employees enrolled in an eligible accredited program and have a minimum overall GPA of 2.5.

💡 MEF Micro Grant Spotlight!

Congratulations to Charlotte Hilsberg at Santa Rita Elementary, who received a Micro Grant to bring new hands-on learning opportunities to her PE students! ❤️

Through the grant, Charlotte was able to purchase inflatable CPR manikins, giving students the opportunity to practice proper CPR techniques in a safe, engaging, and age-appropriate environment. She also added fluorescent lighting to incorporate into gym activities, creating new ways to make movement and physical education fun for students! 🌟

🌟 A FIRST for MEF! 🌟

We are excited to announce the recipients of our first-ever Transformation PIE Grants! This semester, the Midland Education Foundation awarded $18,100 to support innovative ideas designed to create meaningful, lasting impact across Midland ISD.

We are also incredibly grateful to our donor representative, Warren CAT, for their continued investment in MEF’s Partners in Education (PIE) program. Partnerships like these make it possible for us to invest in big ideas and meaningful opportunities throughout Midland ISD.

A special thank you to Midland Athletic Syndicate for hosting our grant presentations yesterday and providing a wonderful space to celebrate these educators and their ideas.

The Midland Education Foundation is excited to celebrate our October Micro Grant recipients!

This month, MEF awarded $8,882 to nine Midland ISD educators, supporting projects that will impact students across multiple campuses and grade levels!

🚀 Go For Launch Midland took off today!

Students from across Midland ISD gathered at Goddard Junior High for an exciting day of STEM exploration, teamwork, problem-solving, and big ideas!

One of the highlights of the day was the opportunity to hear from NASA astronaut Dr. Richard Linnehan, who shared his experiences and encouraged students to keep exploring what’s possible. 👨‍🚀✨

This incredible experience was made possible through a generous investment from Chevron Permian, giving Midland ISD students in grades 8–12 the opportunity to participate in Go For Launch Midland! 🚀
