Next year will be the 85th anniversary of our Lodge. I would like to make a patch for this and want anyone who is a memeber or former member to submit a patch design if you wish so the LEC and youth members can vote on them. Please email your ideas and fully colored artwork to [email protected].

This will be something that will be voted on by our youth at close camp August 12-14 at BTSR so please send them to me ASAP and mark your calendar with the dates and please plan on attending. We need to have as many youth in attendance as possible to have proper lodge officer elections and vote on Vigil Honor candidates as well as the before mentioned patch for the lodge anniversary.

I look forward to seeing you all at the ranch for a weekend of fellowship and cheerful service!

The LEC voted to make a flap for the 75th Anniversary of BTSR. We ordered a limited run of 500 that should be finished in time for the opening of week 1 summer camp and will be available for purchase at the Jersey Lilly trading post at BTSR for $10.00 each.

We had a small turnout but we were able to accomplish big things! The weather was great this weekend the BTSR! We were able to rebuild several picnic tables for camp and help to get the dining hall cleaned up and ready for summer camp. Thank you to all who were able to help out. Bob Rice, Jacob Reichardt, Trace Reichardt, James Gilley, Keith Morrison, Cody Reichardt, Robert Orona worked all day Saturday in the dining hall or rebuilding picinic tables and we finished off our day of cheerful service with BBQ chicken on the pit and Dutch oven cobbler.

I hope to see more of you who receive this post in August so we can have another great weekend of fun fellowship and service to our camp.

Open camp/Spring Ordeal & Brotherhood weekend has been rescheduled for June 3-5 at BTSR if you have candidates please register with Gracie at the Midland office. Candidate cost is $65.00, member cost is $25 to cover food costs for the weekend. Hope to see you all there.

Unfortunately open camp which was scheduled for the weekend of May 6-8 has to be rescheduled as BTSR is closed due to construction until June. The LEC will meet on May 1st at the midland scout office and we will decide on a new date for open camp/ Ordeal weekend.

Just got back from a very fun weekend at the GR2 Conclave hosted at Camp Strake.

In case you did not receive the email here are a list of upcoming events.

1) council work weekend at BTSR will be March 18-20 at camp cost is $20.00 per person to cover the cost of food. Please RSVP with Wade Howell (432)553-1090 or [email protected]

2) LEC meeting will be 3/20 at 4:30pm

3) Conclave will be April 22-24 at Camp Strake in Coldspring Texas cost for registration is $35.00 per person if spending the entire weekend. $25.00 if just Saturday. Register at
Section-g2.org/conclave these fees do not cover travel to and from camp strake.

4) Ordeal/Brotherhood Open camp weekend will be May 6-8 at BTSR. Cost will be $65.00 for ordeal/brotherhood candidates and 25.00 for anyone else attending to cover the cost of food
