🔹 Pay with a credit card for added protection

🚨 Scam Alert: Medicare & Healthcare.gov open enrollment brings out fraudsters looking to steal your personal information.

Legitimate Medicare and Healthcare.gov helpers (called Navigators or Assisters) will NEVER call you first or ask for payment. They provide free assistance, but you must contact them directly.

Red flags to watch for:
🚩 Unsolicited calls offering "better" plans
🚩 Requests for your Medicare ID or Social Security number
🚩 Offers of free gifts for signing up
🚩 Pressure to act immediately

Key dates to remember:
🔹 Medicare open enrollment: Oct 15 - Dec 7
🔹 Healthcare.gov enrollment starts Nov 1; enroll by Dec 15 for Jan 1 coverage

Remember, only use official websites (Medicare.gov, Healthcare.gov) and guard your personal information. If you suspect fraud, call 1-800-MEDICARE or report it at BBB.org/ScamTracker.
