Our last round of thank-yous from the first clay shoot.

Nineteen sponsors said yes to an event that had never happened before. Because they did, a neighbor has a front door in the Village, a Glean Up Crew Member takes home a paycheck, and there is room for one more at the Thursday table.

We hosted our first lunch and games gathering, and it was a good day.

Neighbors and staff around the same tables, sharing a meal and playing games together. Nothing complicated about it. Just people enjoying each other.

A lot of the best work here does not look like work. It looks like an afternoon where somebody laughs out loud and forgets, for a little while, that life has been hard. That is worth putting lunch on the table for.

None of this was ours to pull off. Ten years of God providing, and ten years of a community that kept saying yes: the volunteer at the cookout, the donor who gave when the village was still a field, the church that sent a team, the neighbor who trusted us with their story. Thank you. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. And now the honest part: what comes next is bigger than what got us here, and we cannot do it alone either. There is room in this story for you. Come to a cookout. Join a workday. Give toward the next home. Whatever God is stirring in you as you read this, that is an invitation, not an accident. Let's build the next ten together.

To the glory of God alone.

Ten years taught us what home can do. The next ten are about room for more. We are building a full village: homes for neighbors with nowhere to go, missional neighbors living alongside them, shared kitchens and porches where nobody has to be alone. Work that dignifies. Meals that gather. The steady discipleship of walking with people over years. We are not slowing down at ten. We are building for the neighbor who has not arrived yet. There is a home coming for them. Help us cultivate it.

A week ago Friday we held our first clay shoot. It happened because these sponsors said yes!

That yes keeps a front door open in the Village for a neighbor who went years without one. It pays a Glean Up Crew Member for a morning of honest work. It keeps people around our Thursday cookout table and at Bible study with neighbors every week.

Two friends in our outreach Bible study spent more than 70 days living in their car. They kept showing up. We kept showing up. And God provided what neither could arrange alone: steady work, and a home with a door that locks behind them.

We didn't fix this. We walked alongside while God did. Most of this work looks exactly like that.

The porches in our Village face inward, toward shared space. That was on purpose. Small daily collisions become the default: a wave on the way to the mailbox, a conversation nobody scheduled, someone noticing a porch light off for two days and walking over to check. Good design gets out of the way. God's love has room to work.
